Troop I police reports
CHELSEA CROFOOT, 19, of 357 Bethany Road, Beacon Falls, was charged Aug. 30 with breach of peace and assault in the third degree.
JOHN R. ESSER, 21, of 500 South Meriden Road, Cheshire, was charged Aug. 30 with breach of peace.
Police reported on Aug. 30 an officer responded to 357 Bethany Road for a disturbance. An investigation ensued, police reported, and revealed that a verbal altercation between Crofoot and Esser escalated into a physical altercation. Crofoot and Esser were released on a $10,000 non-surety bond and given a court date of Sept. 3 to appear in Derby Superior Court.
LYNN M. BENEVIDES, 46, of 22 Corinne Drive, Prospect, was charged Aug. 31 with disorderly conduct and assault in the third degree.
Police reported on Aug, 31 Troop I received an active domestic call at 22 Corinne Drive. Upon arrival of officers, police reported, Benevides and another party were interviewed about the incident that had taken place. Benevides was released on a $5,000 bond and given a court date of Sept. 3 to appear in Waterbury Superior Court.
On Aug. 29 an officer responded to 132 North Main St., Beacon Falls, for a larceny that occurred in the Naugatuck State Forest in the vicinity of the trail that leads to the waterfall between 5:30 and 7 p.m. Police reported an orange, Mongoose BMX bicycle was taken from the park without the owner’s permission. On Aug. 29 an officer responded to NEJ, 170 Pines Bridge Road, Beacon Falls, to investigate an incident where money was stolen from the purses of two workers by a co-worker. The report contained no further information.
