JENNIFER SPEAKS, 30, of 40 Blueberry Hill Road, Waterbury, was charged Aug. 20 with three counts of criminal violation of protective order.
Police reported the complainant reported that he had been receiving numerous phone calls from his estranged wife in violation of a protective order. The complainant’s attorney also reported similar phone calls, police reported. As a result of the investigation, arrest warrants were obtained four three counts of criminal violation of protective order. Speaks was arrested and held on a $50,000 bond. She was given a court date of Aug. 22 to appear in Waterbury Superior Court.
JOSEPH NUZZO, 53, of 5 Lorraine Drive, Beacon Falls, was charged Aug. 27 with disorderly conduct and assault in the third degree.
Police reported at 6:41 p.m. police responded to 5 Lorraine Drive, Beacon Falls for a reported disturbance between father and juvenile son. Upon arrival, police reported, both parties were involved in a physical altercation. Nuzzo was given a court date of Aug. 28 to appear at Derby Superior Court. Bond was set at $500.
NADIA VALENTIN, 21, of 50 Canaan Court, Apt. 21, Stratford, was charged Aug. 28 with breach of peace in the second degree and reckless endangerment in the first degree.
Police reported at 8:48 p.m. Valentin was taken into custody at Exit 24 on Route 8 south following a physical altercation in Naugatuck. Valentin was given a court date of Aug. 28 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court. Bond was set at $500.
- State police reported a number of recent thefts in Beacon Falls and Prospect.
According to police on Aug. 17 an Apple laptop worth $1,200 was stolen from an unlocked car in front of a home on Talmadge Hill Road in Prospect.
According to police on Aug. 20 a 1999 Mitsubishi Eclispe was stolen between midnight and 7 a.m. from a home on Wilkens Lane in Prospect. Police reported the keys were left in an unsecured vehicle parked next to the Mitsubishi. Several other complaints of cars being entered Aug. 20 were reported by residents near Wilkens lane, police reported.
According to police on Aug. 20 someone entered a home on Skokorat Road in Beacon Falls and stole a laptop.
According to police during the early morning hours of Aug. 24 a 1998 Subaru Forester was stolen from a home on Dorothy Avenue in Prospect.
