Naugatuck police blotter: assault

Police-badgeThe Naugatuck Police Department reported the following arrests:

ALEXANDRIA SANTANGELO, 20, of 138 Lantern Park Drive, Naugatuck, was charged May 24 with assault in the third degree and breach of peace.

Police reported on May 24 at approximately 8:48 p.m. officers responded to 92 Cold Spring Circle for an assault. During an argument between friends, police reported, Santangelo hit and pushed the victim to the floor. Santangelo was given a court date of June 5 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 non-surety bond.

JEFFREY BOURASSA, 26, of 895 Hamilton Ave., Waterbury, was charged May 25 with driving under the influence and failure to drive right.

Police reported on May 25 at approximately 2:08 a.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on Maple Street. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Bourassa was operating under the influence of alcohol. Bourassa was given a court date of June 6 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 surety bond.

CLIFTON ROBINSON
, 25, of 77 Rowe Ave., Hartford, was charged May 25 with disobeying officer signal motor vehicle, engaging police in pursuit and reckless driving.

Police reported on May 25 at approximately 2:41 a.m. an officer pulled behind a motor vehicle that was stopped on the side of Route 8 North due to the passenger urinating on the side of the road. The vehicle sped away from the officer and left the area. The vehicle and Robinson were later located in Farmington, police reported. Robinson was given a court date of June 5 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 surety bond.

JORGE RIVERA, 48, of 223 Mount Tobe Road, Plymouth, was charged May 25 with harassment in the second degree.

Police reported on May 25 at 3:20 p.m. Rivera turned himself in on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a harassing phone call complaint on May 11, 2013. Police reported Rivera continued to call and text the victim when he was advised not to. Rivera was given a court date of May 28 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 non-surety bond.

ANDREA WHITE, 21, of 36 May St., Naugatuck, was charged May 25 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on May 25 at 11:37 a.m. officers responded to May Avenue for a domestic disturbance between sisters. During an argument White and a juvenile began to fight. White sustained a cut to her nose and arm during the altercation. White was given a court date of May 28 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 non-surety bond. The juvenile was given a court date of May 28 to appear at Waterbury Juvenile Court and released to her mother.

SHAWN OBRIEN, 52, of 115 Hickory Lane, Naugatuck, was charged May 25 with driving under the influence and failure to wear safety belt.

Police reported on May 25 at approximately 6:56 p.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on Water Street. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Obrien was operating under the influence of alcohol. Obrien was given a court date of June 6 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

NICOLE GOMEZ, 31, of 30 East Grand Ave., New Haven, was charged May 26 with driving under the influence and making an improper turn.

Police reported on May 26 at approximately 3:26 a.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on Water Street. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Gomez was operating under the influence of alcohol. Gomez was given a court date of June 5 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

MATTHEW SPAR, 38, of 28 Partridgetown Road, Naugatuck, was charged May 26 with driving under the influence.

Police reported on May 26 at approximately 8:51 p.m. an officer responded to North Church Street for a motor vehicle accident. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Spar was operating under the influence of alcohol. Spar was given a court date of June 6 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,500 non-surety bond.

CARLOS ROCHA, 61, of 264 Colonial Ave., Waterbury, was charged May 27 with driving under the influence and failure to drive in proper lane.

Police reported on May 27 at approximately 5:38 p.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on Maple Street. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Rocha was operating under the influence of alcohol. Rocha was given a court date of June 6 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

AIMEE SCHMALING, 27, of 51 Murphy Lane, Southbury, was charged May 27 with driving under the influence and possession of controlled substance.

Police reported on May 27 at approximately 5:38 p.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on Maple Street. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Schmaling was operating under the influence of alcohol. Schmaling was also found to be in possession of pills not in their proper containers, police reported. Schmaling was given a court date of June 5 to appear at Waterbury Superior
Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

JOCELYN RAGUSA, 33, of 104 Meadow Lark Road, Naugatuck, was charged May 27 with driving under the influence.

Police reported on May 27 at approximately 8:35 p.m. officers responded to South Main Street for a suspicious vehicle. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Ragusa was operating under the influence of alcohol. Ragusa was given a court date of June 13 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

ERIC PINTO, 27, of 90 Aetna St., Naugatuck, was charged May 28 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on May 28 at approximately 12:29 a.m. officers responded to 90 Aetna St. for a domestic disturbance between brothers. During an argument, police reported, Pinto knocked over items in the home. Pinto was given a court date of May 28 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $500 surety bond.

WRIGHT MCARTHUR, 26, of 1610 Fairfield Ave., Bridgeport, was charged May 28 with failure to appear in the first degree.

Police reported on May 28 at approximately 6:59 a.m. McArthur turned himself in on an active arrest warrant. McArthur was given a court date of May 28 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $5,000 surety bond.

DANIELLE BILICHKA, 27, of 18 Barber St., Putnam, was charged May 28 with failure to appear in the second degree.

Police reported on May 28 at 7:50 p.m. an officer responded to a noise complaint on School Street. During the investigation, police reported, Bilichka was identified and it was determined she was wanted on an active arrest warrant out of Putnam. Bilichka was given a court date of June 5 to appear at Danielson Superior Court and released on a $1,000 court-set bond.

JEREMY MACRI, 19, of 44 Lewis Circle, Naugatuck, was charged May 29 with driving under the influence and unsafe movement of stopped, standing or parked motor vehicle.

Police reported on May 29 at 12:52 a.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on High Street. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Macri was operating under the influence of alcohol. Macri was given a court date of June 6 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

MICHAEL FORRESTER, 62, of 163 Union City Road, Prospect, was charged May 29 with driving under the influence and failure to drive in proper lane.

Police reported on May 29 at 6:40 p.m. Forrester turned himself in on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a motor vehicle accident reported on April 27, 2013. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Forrester was operating under the influence of alcohol. Forrester was given a court date of June 12 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

STEVEN AMBROSE, 20, of 5 Bailey Road, Naugatuck, was charged May 29 with criminal violation of protective order.

Police reported on May 29 at 9:22 p.m. officers responded to 5 Bailey Road for a medical complaint. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Ambrose was inside the home in violation of an active protective order. Ambrose was given a court date of May 30 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $2,500 surety bond.
