Naugatuck police blotter: larceny

DENNIS SANTOS, 42, of 127 South View St., Waterbury, was charged March 13 with larceny in the third degree, illegal use of credit card and receipt of money, goods or services by illegal credit card use.

Police reported on March 13 at approximately 11 a.m. Santos was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for an incident was reported on July 19, 2011 at 855 Rubber Ave. Santos used a company credit card to purchase gas for his personal car, police reported. Santos was given a court date of March 20 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $6,500 surety bond.

TOD TURNER, 33, of 59 School St., Naugatuck, was charged March 13 with two counts each of credit card theft by transfer, larceny in the sixth degree and illegal use of credit card.

Police reported on March 13 at approximately 4:40 p.m. Turner was arrested on an active arrest warrant at 59 School St. The warrant was for a larceny reported on Dec. 21, 2012 at 191 Sheridan Drive. Police reported Turner stole an acquaintance’s credit card and made nine fraudulent charges totaling $461.58. Turner was given a court date of March 27 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $750 court-set cash bond. Police reported Turner was arrested on a second active arrest warrant March 13. Police reported Turner stole an acquaintance’s credit card and made five fraudulent charges totaling $311.48. Turner was given a court date of March 27 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $200 court-set cash bond.

JOSEPH GOTLIBOWSKI, 37, of 46 Lines Hill St., Naugatuck, was charged March 13 with criminal trespass in the first degree and larceny in the sixth degree.

Police reported on March 13 at approximately 10:22 a.m. Gotlibowski was arrested on an active arrest warrant while he was at court. The warrant was for a larceny reported on Jan. 18, 2013 at Big Y. Police reported Gotlibowski stole a Jensen Bluetooth speaker tower valued at $74.99. Gotlibowski was given a court date of March 27 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $750 court-set cash bond.

DOMINIC TORRES, 21, of 74 Quaker Farms Road, Oxford, was charged March 14 with burglary in the third degree, larceny in the third degree and criminal trespass in the third degree.

Police reported on March 13 at 4:35 p.m. Torres turned himself in on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for burglary reported on 2/12/13. The warrant was for burglary reported on Feb. 12, 2013. Police reported Torres with an accomplice stole entered a storage building for 129 Rubber Ave. and stole a radiator and tent polls. Torres was given a court date of March 27 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $5,000 surety bond.

DEWYGEE FRASER, 34, of 142 Meadow St., Naugatuck, was charged March 13 with issuing a bad check.

Police reported on March 13 at 3:30 p.m. Fraser turned herself in on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a bad check complaint on Feb. 15, 2013. Police reported Fraser issued a check to the victim for
$3,300 and it was returned “insufficient funds.” Fraser was given a court date of March 27 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 non-surety bond.

JOSE JARAMA, 39, of 265 Spencer St., Naugatuck, was charged March 13 with driving under the influence, illegal operation of motor vehicle under suspension and improper parking.

Police reported on March 13 at 11:57 a.m. officers responded to Spencer Street for a suspicious person complaint. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Jarama was operating under the influence of alcohol. Jarama was given a court date of March 21 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $2,500 non-surety bond.

JEFFREY SCHILLER, 49, of 3 Vine St., Naugatuck, was charged March 13 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on March 13 at approximately 5:18 p.m. officers responded to 3 Vine St. for a domestic disturbance between brothers. During an argument, police reported, Schiller threw a container of juice at the victim, broke a dish and ripped a thermostat off the wall. Schiller was given a court date of March 14 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $5,000 surety bond.

MARK SILL, 55, of 202 Maple St., Naugatuck, was charged March 13 with failure to appear in the second degree.

Police reported on March 13 at approximately 9:06 p.m. Sill was arrested on an active arrest warrant out of Bridgeport. Sill was given a court date of March 27 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $2,000 court-set surety bond.

ROBERT CHAPMAN, 28, of 22 Barnum Court, Naugatuck, was charged March 13 with failure to respond to payable violation.

Police reported on March 13 at approximately 8:56 p.m. Chapman was arrested on an active arrest warrant at 22 Barnum Court 2nd floor. Chapman was given a court date of March 27 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $200 cash bond.

KELVIN PEELER, 20, of 43 Second Ave., Waterbury, was charged March 14 with failure to appear in the second degree.

Police reported on March 14 at approximately 3:40 p.m. Peeler was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Peeler was given a court date of March 15 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $10,000 surety bond.

ADAM SILVA, 26, of 66 Goodyear Ave., Naugatuck, was charged March 14 with burglary in the third degree, larceny in the third degree and criminal trespass in the third degree.

Police reported on March 14 at 8:20 p.m. Silva was arrested on an active arrest warrant at 66 Goodyear Ave. The warrant was for burglary reported on Feb. 12, 2013. Police reported Silva with an accomplice stole entered a storage building for 129 Rubber Ave. and stole a radiator and tent polls. Silva was given a court date of March 15 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $15,000 surety bond.

AMIE AQUINO, 36, of 28 Trobridge St., Waterbury, was charged March 14 with larceny in the sixth degree and breach of peace.

Police reported on March 14 at approximately 5:11 p.m. officers responded to Walmart for a shoplifting complaint. Aquino with an acquaintance stole a king size comforter, queen size comforter, Timex clock and a wire notebook totaling $280.56, police reported. Aquino was given a court date of March 20 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $2,500 surety bond.

BONNIE PACHECO, 47, of 115 Seyamour St., Waterbury, was charged March 14 with larceny in the sixth degree, breach of peace possession of controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police reported on March 14 at approximately 5:11 p.m. officers responded to Walmart for a shoplifting complaint. Pacheco with an acquaintance stole a king size comforter, queen size comforter, Timex clock and a wire notebook totaling $280.56, police reported. Pacheco was found to be in possession of cocaine and two plastic pipes. Pacheco was given a court date of March 20 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $5,000 surety bond.

BRIAN CHANDLER, 27, of 154 Prospect St., Naugatuck, was charged March 15 with burglary in the third degree and larceny in the third degree.

Police reported on March 15 at approximately 12:53 a.m. Chandler was arrested on an active arrest warrant on North Church Street. The warrant was for a larceny reported on Feb. 7, 2013. Police reported Chandler stole a snowboard, snowboard boots, Oakley sunglasses, skies and ski boots from the victim’s vehicle. Chandler was given a court date of March 15 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $75,000 court-set surety bond.

GUY SALVATI JR., 32, of 16 French St., Ansonia, was charged March 15 with criminal violation of protective order.

Police reported on March 15 at 5:05 p.m. Salvati turned himself in on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for domestic disturbance reported on March 14, 2013. Salvati called and texted the victim in violation of a protective order, police reported. Salvati was given a court date of March 18 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a promise to appear.

DANIEL MELENDEZ, 19, of 145 Lantern Park Drive, Naugatuck, was charged March 15 with failure to appear in the second degree.

Police reported on March 15 at approximately 4:05 p.m. Melendez was arrested on an active arrest warrant at 145-2 Lantern Park Drive. Melendez was given a court date of March 27 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 court set surety bond.

DAVID ANDRULAT, 49, of 138 Klarides Village Drive, Seymour, was charged March 15 with larceny in the third degree and conspiracy at larceny in the third degree.

Police reported on March 15 at 10:06 p.m. an officer responded to High Street for a stolen motor vehicle report. Andrulat with an acquaintance stole an acquaintance’s vehicle worth $4,300. It was later recovered in New Milford, police reported. Andrulat was given a court date of March 20 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a promise to appear.

PENNY SYMAN, 38, of 612 Bunker Hill Road, Waterbury, was charged March 15 with larceny in the third degree and conspiracy at larceny in the third degree.

Police reported on March 15 at 10:06 p.m. an officer responded to High Street for a stolen motor vehicle report. Syman with an acquaintance stole an acquaintance’s vehicle worth $4,300. It was later recovered in New Milford, police reported. Syman was given a court date of March 20 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a promise to appear.

LINDA GRABEN, 56, of 71 Fern St., Naugatuck, was charged March 16 with evading responsibility motor vehicle, insurance coverage fails minimum requirements and driving under the influence.

Police reported on March 16 at 3:11 p.m. an officer responded to Rubber Avenue for an evading motor vehicle accident. Graben was located in the area. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Graben was operating under the influence of alcohol. Graben was given a court date of March 28 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

JEROME REVIS, 28, of 10 Tudor Lane, Naugatuck, was charged March 17 with failure to respond to infraction.

Police reported on March 17 at approximately 4:10 p.m. Revis was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Revis was given a court date of March 27 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $50 court-set cash bond.

DAVID DIMATTIA, 67, of 26 Lines Court, Naugatuck, was charged March 17 with driving under the influence and failure to drive in proper lane.

Police reported on March 17 at approximately 9:48 p.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on General Pulaski Way. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Dimattia was operating under the influence of alcohol. Dimattia was given a court date of March 28 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

TIMOTHY CHAPMAN, 21, of 22 Barnum Court, Naugatuck, was charged March 18 with driving under the influence, failure to drive at reasonable distance and failure to obey control signal.

Police reported on March 18 at approximately 12:52 a.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on Rubber Avenue. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined the accused was operating under the influence of alcohol. Chapman was given a court date of March 28 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.
