Naugatuck police blotter: larceny
The Naugatuck Police Department reported the following arrests:
SHANE KING, 27, of 19 Celentano Drive, Naugatuck, was charged Feb. 18 with larceny in the sixth degree and reckless driving.
Police reported on Feb. 18 at approximately 1:15 p.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on Osborn Road due to the motorist traveling at a high rate of speed and skidding around a corner. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined King was leaving Walmart from which he was involved in a shoplifting complaint. Police reported King stole BBs and a BB gun valued at $75.91. King was given a court date of Feb. 27 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 surety bond. He was given an additional $500 surety bond for the reckless driving charge.
BRANDEN FONSECA, 20, of 37 Graham Ridge, Naugatuck, was charged Feb. 18 with failure to appear in the second degree.
Police reported on Feb. 18 approximately 5:05 p.m. Fonseca was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Fonseca was given a court date of Feb. 27 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $5,000 court-set surety bond.
JOY BLIZZARD, 27, of 30 Wilson St., Naugatuck, was charged Feb. 18 with driving under the influence and failure to drive at reasonable distance.
Police reported on Feb. 18 at approximately 7:08 p.m. officers responded to New Haven Road for a motor vehicle accident. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Blizzard was operating under the influence of alcohol. Blizzard was given a court date of March 7 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.
KEITH JACOBS, 41, of 50 Lounsbury St., Naugatuck, was charged Feb. 19 with violation of protective order.
Police reported on Feb. 19 at approximately 5:03 p.m. Jacobs was found at the residence of the victim. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Jacobs was in violation of a protective order. Jacobs was given a court date of Feb. 20 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $50,000 surety bond.
DEREC RAMDIN, 32, of 21 Rosette St., Waterbury, was charged Feb. 20 with burglary in the first degree, conspiracy at burglary in the first degree, criminal trespass in the second degree, larceny in the sixth degree and conspiracy at larceny in the sixth degree.
Police reported on Feb. 20 at approximately 1:54 a.m. officers responded to Clark Road for a burglary complaint. Ramdin and another suspect were located in Waterbury on South Leonard Street. They entered the victim’s garage and stole tools, police reported. Ramdin was given a court date of Feb. 20 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on $50,000 surety bond.
JOSEPH BROMLEY, 29, of 177 Colonial St., Oakville, was charged Feb. 20 with burglary in the first degree, conspiracy at burglary in the first degree, criminal trespass in the second degree, larceny in the sixth degree and conspiracy at larceny in the sixth degree.
Police reported on Feb. 20 at approximately 1:54 a.m. officers responded to Clark Road for a burglary complaint. Bromley and another suspect were located in Waterbury on South Leonard Street. They entered the victim’s garage and stole tools, police reported. Ramdin was given a court date of Feb. 20 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on $50,000 surety bond. Bromley had additional motor vehicle charges and was held on an additional $500 surety bond.
ROBERT OLOFSON, 22, of 35 Curtiss St., Naugatuck, was charged Feb. 20 with failure to appear in the second degree.
Police reported on Feb. 20 Olofson turned himself in on an active arrest warrant. He was given a court date of Feb. 21 to appear in Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $2,500 surety bond.
CLEMENTE ONOFRIO, 48, of 11 Grandview Road, Derby, was charged Feb. 20 with driving under the influence and a stop sign violation.
Police reported on Feb. 20 at 9:10 p.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on Rubber Avenue. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Onofrio was operating under the influence of alcohol. Onofrio was given a court date of March 7 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $2,500 surety bond.
ALFREDO AFONSO, 44, of 270 Spring St., Naugatuck, was charged Feb. 21 with driving under the influence, failure to drive upon right, and failure to renew motor vehicle license.
Police reported on Feb. 21 at about 12:04 a.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on Church St. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Afonso was operating under the influence of alcohol. Afonso was given a court date of March 7 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 non surety-bond.
TIMOTHY RAMOS, 22, of 42 Garden Hill Circle, Waterbury, was charged Feb. 21 with driving under the influence and failure to have tail lamps.
Police reported on Feb. 21 at about 3:09 a.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on Rubber Avenue. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Ramos was operating under the influence alcohol. He was given a court date of March 7 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non surety-bond.
