Naugatuck police blotter: failure to appear

Police-badgeThe Naugatuck Police Department reported the following arrests:

DARRIUS WRIGHT, 48, of 56 Ridge Road, Naugatuck, was charged Feb. 4 with failure to appear in the second degree.

Police reported on Feb. 4 at approximately 10:41 p.m. Wright turned himself in on an active arrest warrant. Wright was given a court date of Feb. 13 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $150 court-set cash bond.

ERIC BURNS, 21, of 327 Spring St., Naugatuck, was charged Feb. 5 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Feb. 5 at approximately 1:06 a.m. officers responded to 327 Spring St. for a domestic disturbance between father and son. During an argument, police reported, both males struck each other in the face. Burns was given a court date of Feb. 5 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 non-surety bonds.

JOHN BURNS, 51, of 327 Spring St., Naugatuck, was charged Feb. 5 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Feb. 5 at approximately 1:06 a.m. officers responded to 327 Spring St. for a domestic disturbance between father and son. During an argument, police reported, both males struck each other in the face. Burns was given a court date of Feb. 5 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 non-surety bonds.

JOHN HINE, 28, of 212 Westmont Drive, Waterbury, was charged Feb. 5 with failure to appear in the second degree.

Police reported on Feb. 5 at approximately 6:04 p.m. Hine was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Hine was given a court date of Feb. 13 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,500 court-set surety bond.

WENDY BATISTA, 35, of 933 Rubber Ave., Naugatuck, was charged Feb. 5 with failure to respond to infraction.

Police reported on Feb. 5 at approximately 6:57 p.m. Batista was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Batista was given a court date of Feb. 13 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $35 court-set cash bond.

JADE BARNETT, 22, of 186 Webb Road, Naugatuck, was charged Feb. 6 with failure to appear in the second degree.

Police reported on Feb. 6 at approximately 6:15 a.m. Barnett turned herself in on an active arrest warrant. Barnett was given a court date of Feb. 6 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $10,000 surety bond.

JAMES LEE, 61, of 151 Andrew Ave., Naugatuck, was charged Feb. 6 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Feb. 6 at approximately 3:11 p.m. Lee turned himself in on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a domestic disturbance reported on Jan. 23 between husband and wife. During an argument, police reported, Lee broke the victim’s cell phone. He was given a court date of Feb. 7 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,500 non-surety bond.

EDWARD ABELARD, 27, of 20 Glasser St., Norwalk, was charged Feb. 6 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Feb. 6 at approximately 2:47 p.m. an officer responded to Ida Street for a domestic disturbance between former boyfriend and girlfriend. During an argument, in a vehicle, police reported, Abelard punched the victim on her left cheek. Abelard was given a court date of Feb. 7 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 surety bond.

JAMES TAYLOR, 41, of 111 Fern St., Waterbury, was charged Feb. 6 with driving under the influence.

Police reported on Feb. 6 at approximately 5:43 p.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on Route 8 south. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Taylor was operating under the influence of alcohol. Taylor was given a court date of Feb. 14 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 surety bond.

ANDREW PORCU, 22, of 925 Oronoke Road, Waterbury, was charged Feb. 6 with two counts of failure to respond to payable infraction.

Police reported on Feb. 6 at approximately 5:18 p.m. Porcu was arrested on two active arrest warrants, one out of Danbury. Porcu was given a court date of Feb. 25 to appear at Danbury Superior Court and a court date of Feb. 20 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court. He was released on a total $553 court-set cash bond.

OCORDO SKEEN, 21, of 77 Stafford St., Waterbury, was charged Feb. 6 with failure to appear in the second degree.

Police reported on Feb. 6 at approximately 6:24 p.m. Skeen was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Skeen was given a court date of Feb. 20 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $2,500 court-set cash bond.

CHRISTOPHER CHANDLER, 39, of 127 Rubber Ave., Naugatuck, was charged Feb. 7 with interfering with an officer and three counts of failure to appear in the second degree.

Police reported on Feb. 7 at approximately 12:20 a.m. an officer was investigating a suspicious person on Bridge Street. Police reported Chandler lied to the officer about his date of birth, due to him being wanted on active arrest warrants. Chandler was given a court date of Feb. 7 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a total $25,000 surety bond.

JAMES ODONNELL, 39, of 145 Lantern Park Drive, Naugatuck, was charged Feb. 7 with disorderly conduct and assault in the third degree.

Police reported on Feb. 7 at 5:45 p.m. Odonnell was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a domestic disturbance reported on Feb. 5, 2013 between former boyfriend and girlfriend. During an argument, police reported, Odonnell grabbed the victim and threw her to the floor. Odonnell was given a court date of Feb. 8 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $10,000 surety bond.

ROBERT OLOFSON, 22, of 35 Curtiss St., Naugatuck, was charged Feb. 7 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Feb. 7 at approximately 3:09 p.m. officers responded to 35 Curtis St. for a domestic disturbance between grandmother and grandson. During an argument, police reported, Olofson pushed the victim to the floor. Olofson was given a court date of Feb. 8 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $5,000 non-surety bond.

RUFINO PEREZ, 37, of 53 Spring St., Naugatuck, was charged Feb. 8 with failure to appear in the second degree.

Police reported on Feb. 8 at approximately 12:32 a.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on Bridge Street. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Perez was wanted on an active arrest warrant out of Connecticut State Police Troop A. Perez was given a court date of Feb. 20 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $495 court-set cash bond.

JOHN TERRY, 45, of 185 Cherry St., Naugatuck, was charged Feb. 8 with assault in the third degree, risk of injury to child and disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Feb. 8 at approximately 5:20 p.m. officers responded to 185 Cherry St. apt. 1 for a domestic disturbance between father and daughter. During an argument, police reported, Terry pushed the juvenile victim to the floor and slapped her in the face. Terry was given a court date of Feb. 11 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $25,000 surety bond.

AMY BRELSFORD, 29, of 14 Diamond St., Naugatuck, was charged Feb. 8 with disorderly conduct and assault in the third degree.

Police reported on Feb. 8 at approximately 9:31 p.m. officers responded to 14 Diamond St. 3rd floor for a domestic disturbance between boyfriend and girlfriend. During an argument, police reported, Brelsford grabbed the victim by the hair and punched him. Brelsford was given a court date of Feb. 11 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 non-surety bond.

LENA VERMENYCH, 18, of 933 Rubber Ave., Naugatuck, was charged Feb. 8 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Feb. 8 at approximately 9:31 p.m. officers responded to 933 Rubber Ave. for domestic disturbance between boyfriend and girlfriend. During an argument, police reported, Vermenych scratched the victim’s neck and hit him. Vermenych was given a court date of Feb. 11 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

DANIEL YORRO, 19, of 933 Rubber Ave., Naugatuck, was charged Feb. 8 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Feb. 8 at approximately 9:31 p.m. officers responded to 933 Rubber Ave. for domestic disturbance between boyfriend and girlfriend. During an argument, police reported, Yorro grabbed the victim by the shoulders. Yorro was given a court date of Feb. 11 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

MARIAN BOFFEN, 52, of 178 Morning Dove Road, Naugatuck, was charged Feb. 10 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Feb. 10 at approximately 9:35 a.m. officers responded to 178 Morning Dove Road for a domestic disturbance between boyfriend and girlfriend. During an argument, police reported, Boffen threw a cup of coffee at the victim. She also damaged a coffee table, police reported. Boffen was given a court date of Feb. 11 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 non-surety bond.
