Naugatuck police blotter: breach of peace

The Naugatuck Police Department reported the following arrests:

KEITH PIERCE, 37, of 96 Watch Hill Drive, Southbury, was charged Jan. 14 with breach of peace, two counts of larceny in the sixth degree and two counts of failure to appear in the first degree.

Police reported on Jan. 14 at approximately 3:15 p.m. officers were dispatched to Family Market for a shoplifting complaint. Police reported Pierce stole a bottle of wine and returned to the store a few hours later and stole a second bottle of wine. When an employee confronted him he ran from the store, police reported. Pierce was located a short distance from the store. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Pierce was wanted on two active arrest warrants. He was given a court date of Jan. 15 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a surety bond.

THOMAS WHITLOCK, 47, of 85 Town Hill Ave., Danbury, was charged Jan. 15 with two counts of breach of peace.

Police reported on Jan. 15 at 9:56 p.m. Troop A was holding Whitlock on two active arrest warrants. One warrant was for a harassing phone call complaint made on March 9, 2012, police reported. The other warrant was for a harassing text message complaint made on March 9, 2012. Police reported Whitlock threaten to harm the victim and his girlfriend. Whitlock was transported to the Naugatuck Police Department for processing. Whitlock was given a court date of Jan. 23 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a total $1,000 surety bond.

MIGUEL RIVERA, 20, of 24 Laurel St., Waterbury, was charged Jan. 15 with robbery in the third degree, larceny in the sixth degree, assault in the third degree, breach of peace and risk of injury to child.

Police reported on Jan. 15 Rivera was served with an active arrest warrant while he was in court. The warrant was for robbery that was reported on Dec. 8, 2012, which occurred at Fairchild Park. Rivera and the juvenile victims were acquaintances. Police reported Rivera punched one of the victims and stole his iPhone 4 worth $400. Rivera also pushed the second juvenile and stole his Boost Mobile phone worth $50, police reported. Rivera was held for arraignment.

ANGEL LOPEZ-SANCHEZ, 43, of 22 West Farms St., Waterbury, was charged Jan. 15 with performing trade without work license, reckless endangerment in the second degree and risk of injury to child.

TYLER SYNOTT, 20, of 198 Scott St., Naugatuck, was charged Jan. 15 with burglary in the third degree and criminal mischief in the first degree.

Police reported on Jan. 15 Central Connecticut State University police were holding Synott on an active arrest warrant. Synott was transported to the Naugatuck Police Department for processing. The warrant was for a burglary reported on Dec. 30, 2012. Police reported Synott forced entry into his brother’s apartment damaging a door. Synott also pushed over a refrigerator breaking the doors and damaged numerous items in the apartment. Synott was given a court date of Jan. 16 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $10,000 non-surety bond.

MORGAN LYNWOOD, 31, of 933 Rubber Ave., Naugatuck, was charged Jan. 15 with violation of probation or conditional discharge.

Police reported on Jan. 15 at approximately 4:24 p.m. Lynwood was arrested on an active arrest warrant out of New Haven. Lynwood was given a court date of Jan. 29 to appear at New Haven Superior Court and released on a court-set $140 cash bond.

TERRANCE GATISON, 28, of 12 Carroll St., Naugatuck, was charged Jan. 16 with criminal violation of protective order, harassment in the second degree, failure to appear in the second degree and three counts of failure to appear in the first degree.

Police reported on Jan. 16 at approximately 2:38 a.m. Gatison turned himself in on multiple active arrest warrants. One warrant was for a harassing phone call complaint reported on Nov. 13, 2012. Police reported Gatison contacted the victim several times, by phone, in violation of a protective order. Gatison was given a court date of Jan. 16 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a surety bond.

PAUL BUTLER, 24, of 12 Pinewood Crossing North, Naugatuck, was charged Jan. 16 with failure to respond to infraction.

Police reported on Jan. 16 at approximately 1:25 a.m. Butler was arrested on an active arrest warrant out of Milford. Butler was given a court date of Feb. 13 to appear at Milford Superior Court and held on a court-set $75 cash bond.

TIFFANY FRATARCANGELI, 28, of 295 High St., Naugatuck, was charged Jan. 16 with criminal violation of protective order.

Police reported on Jan. 16 at approximately 1:40 p.m. Fratarcangeli was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a violation of a protective order reported on Jan. 11, 2013. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Fratarcangeli was living with her boyfriend in violation of a protective order. Fratarcangeli was given a court date of Jan. 17 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $5,000 surety bond.

KYLE GONZALEZ, 20, of 10 Anderson St., Naugatuck, was charged Jan. 16 with assault in the second degree.

NIGEL WATTS, 23, of 19 Walnut St., Waterbury, was charged Jan. 16 with interfering with an officer, criminal impersonation, failure to obey control signal, operating a motor vehicle without a license and failure to appear in the second degree.

Police reported on Jan. 16 at approximately 8:18 p.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on Salem Bridge. Watts was operating the vehicle and gave a false name to the officer, police reported. During the investigation, police reported, Watts’ identity was determined. During the investigation, it was determined Watts was wanted on an active arrest warrant. Watts was given a court date of Jan. 30 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a surety bond.

ANDREW HARRIS, 23, of 14 Webb Road, Naugatuck, was charged Jan. 17 with driving under the influence, traveling unreasonably fast and failure to drive in proper lane.

Police reported on Jan. 17 at approximately 12:31 a.m. officers responded to Field Street by Neumann Street for a motor vehicle accident. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Harris was operating under the influence of alcohol. Harris was given a court date of Jan. 31 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.
