Naugatuck police blotter: burglary

The Naugatuck Police Department reported the following arrests:

LOUIS LEWIS, 18, of 200 North Hoadley St., Naugatuck, was charged Nov. 15 with burglary in the third degree, larceny in the third degree, conspiracy at burglary in the third degree, and conspiracy at larceny in the third degree.

Police reported on Nov. 15 at 11:27 p.m. an officer responded to Evelyn Drive for a suspicious person complaint. Lewis was identified in the area and was wanted on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a larceny from a motor vehicle reported on Sept. 7, 2012. Police reported Lewis, with an accomplice, entered a vehicle and stole a laptop computer valued at $1,200, an IPad valued at $600, a GPS valued at $220, and Leatherman tool valued at $90. Lewis was given a court date of Nov. 28 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 surety bond.

JORDAN BYRON, 26, of 98 Loomis St., Milford, was charged Nov. 15 with harassment in the second degree.

TRAVIS EDMONDS, 32, of 62 Hawkins St., Derby, was charged Nov. 15 with failure to appear in the first degree.

Police reported on Nov. 15 at approximately 11:11 p.m. Edmonds was located in a suspicious motor vehicle, which was parked in a local business parking lot. Upon obtaining Edmonds’ information it was determined he had an out standing arrest warrant from Derby. Edmonds was arrested and held on a $25,000 bond and was scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Nov. 16.

SHANE PRETESKA, 30, of 19 Dallas Terrace, Waterbury, was charged Nov. 16 with larceny in the fifth degree.

Police reported on Nov. 16 at 7 a.m. Preteska turned himself in on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a larceny that occurred in July of 2012. Police reported Preteska stole jewelry consisting of a necklace and five rings valued at $1,050 from an acquaintance. Preteska was given a court date of Nov. 16 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $5,000 court-set bond.

KEVIN AMBROSE, 51, of 5 Bailey Road, Naugatuck, was charged Nov. 16 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Nov. 16 at approximately 1:05 a.m. the victim reported a past domestic disturbance that occurred at her home. Ambrose would not allow access to the victim’s home by locking the doors, police reported. Ambrose was given a court date of Nov. 16 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 surety bond.

STEVEN AMBROSE, 19, of 5 Bailey Road, Naugatuck, was charged Nov. 16 with disorderly conduct and criminal violation of protective order.

Police reported on Nov. 16 at approximately 1:05 a.m. the victim reported at past domestic disturbance that occurred at her home. Ambrose would not allow access to the victim’s home by locking the doors, police reported. During the investigation, police reported, it was also determined Ambrose violated a protective order stating he is to stay away from the victim’s home. Ambrose was given a court date of Nov. 16 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $2,500 bond.

RAISA MARTE, 52, of 137 Lewis St., Naugatuck, was charged Nov. 16 with risk of injury to a child and disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Nov. 16 at approximately 5:15 p.m. officers responded to 137 Lewis St. for a domestic disturbance between mother and daughter. During an argument, police reported, Marte damaged a bedroom door and broke a mirror in the home. A juvenile was in the room where the door and mirror was damaged, police reported. Marte was given a court date of Nov. 19 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 surety bond.

TARA FLYNN, 25, of 257 Scott St., Naugatuck, was charged Nov. 16 with driving under the influence.

Police reported on Nov. 16 at approximately 9:13 p.m. officers responded to Cumberland Farms on Rubber Avenue for a suspicious motor vehicle. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Flynn was operating under the influence of alcohol. Flynn was given a court date of Nov. 29 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

REUBEN BARNES, 29, of 169 Margaret Circle, Naugatuck, was charged Nov. 17 with driving under the influence and evading responsibility with a motor vehicle.

Police reported on Nov. 17 Barnes crashed his vehicle into a utility pole on Route 63 and fled the scene on foot at about 1:10 a.m. He turned himself in to police at headquarters a short time later, police reported. The road was closed to through traffic for several hours, with traffic detoured between Bridge Street and Porter Avenue, police said. All lanes were open around 12:30 p.m. Barnes was given a court date of Nov. 29 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 bond.

DAYVIN ALVAREZ, 41, of 68 Edin Ave., Waterbury, was charged Nov. 17 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Nov. 17 at approximately 8:01 p.m. officers responded to 47 Galpin St. 2nd floor for a domestic disturbance between former boyfriend and girlfriend. During an argument, police reported, Alvarez pushed the victim. He was given a court date of Nov. 19 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000.00 non-surety bond.

KATY HUTTON, 22, of 51 Patricia Lane, Naugatuck, was charged Nov. 18 with driving under the influence.

Police reported on Nov. 18 at approximately 2 a.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on South Main Street. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Hutton was operating under the influence of alcohol. Hutton was given a court date of Nov. 29 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

ERICA TROIANI, 18, of 57 Morris Road, Prospect, was charged Nov. 18 with larceny in the sixth degree.

Police reported on Nov. 18 at approximately 2:42 p.m. officers were dispatched to Walmart for a shoplifting complaint. Troiani stole $224.31 worth of merchandise, police reported. Troiani was given a court date of Nov. 28 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a promise to appear.

DAWN MAYO, 44, of 73 Lewis St., Naugatuck, was charged Nov. 18 with possession of controlled substance and use of drug paraphernalia.

Police reported on Nov. 18 at approximately 5:27 p.m. officers responded to Elm Street for a motor vehicle accident. During the investigation, police reported, the operator, Mayo, was found to be in possession of narcotics. Mayo was given a court date of Nov. 28 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $2,500 non-surety bond.

MICHAEL LISI, 44, of 5 Cots St., Shelton, was charged Nov. 18 with possession of controlled substance, use of drug paraphernalia, criminal possession of firearm, and illegal possession of narcotic.

Police reported on Nov. 18 at approximately 5:27 p.m. officers responded to Elm Street for a motor vehicle accident. During the investigation, police reported, the passenger, Lisi, was found to be in possession of narcotics and firearms. Lisi was given a court date of Nov. 19 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $25,000 surety bond.

ANNY ANDRADE, 22, of 27 Highland Ave., Naugatuck, was charged Nov. 19 with failure to appear in the second degree and failure to appear in the third degree.

Police reported on Nov. 19 at approximately 1:52 a.m. Andrade was arrested on two active arrest warrants at 27 Highland Ave. Andrade was given a court date of Nov. 19 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a total $10,000 surety bond.

JEFFREY HUMPHREY, 38, of 39 Shadduck Road, Naugatuck, was charged Nov. 19 with failure to appear in the second degree.

Police reported on Nov. 19 at approximately 2:30 a.m. Humphrey was arrested on an active arrest warrant at 39 Shadduck Road. Humphrey was given a court date of Nov. 19 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $5,000 surety bond.

JACOB SPERLING, 18, of 58 Anderson St., Naugatuck, was charged Nov. 19 with breach of peace.

Police reported on Nov. 19 at 9:48 p.m. Sperling was arrested at 58 Anderson St. apt 2W on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a domestic disturbance that was reported on Nov. 14, 2012 between boyfriend and girlfriend. During an argument, police reported, Sperling slapped the victim. Sperling was given a court date of Nov. 20 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a promise to appear.

JAMES ELDRIDGE, 35, of last known address 515 North Main St., Naugatuck, was charged Nov. 19 with larceny in the fifth degree, breach of peace, evading responsibility motor vehicle, failure to register motor vehicle eligible for commercial registration, illegal operation of motor vehicle under suspension, and insurance coverage fails minimum requirements.

Police reported on Nov. 19 Eldridge was held by Torrington police on three active arrest warrants out of Naugatuck. Eldridge was transported to the Naugatuck Police Department for processing. One warrant was for a larceny reported on June 5, 2012 at 515 North Main St. Police reported, Eldridge, with an accomplice, stole a washer and dryer from the apartment and sold it for scrap metal. The second warrant was for an assault reported on May 28, 2012 at 59 Thunderbird Drive. During an argument, police reported, Eldridge punched the victim in the face. The victim sustained a bloody nose. The third warrant was for a motor vehicle accident reported on June 23, 2012. Police reported Eldridge struck a mailbox and stonewall on Wooster Street and left the scene. Eldridge was given a court date of Nov. 19 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a surety bond.

TONYA BISSONETTE, 35, of 85 Legdeside Ave., Waterbury, was charged Nov. 19 with larceny in the fifth degree and conspiracy at larceny in the fifth degree.

Police reported on Nov. 19 Bissonette was held by Torrington police on an active arrest warrant out of Naugatuck. Bissonette was transported to the Naugatuck Police Department for processing. The warrant was for a larceny reported on June 5, 2012 at 515 North Main St. Police reported Bissonette, with an accomplice, stole a washer and dryer from the apartment and sold it for scrap metal. Bissonette was given a court date of Nov. 19 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $2,500 surety bond.

JOSEPH KATTERMANN, 33, of 181 Melbourne St., Naugatuck, was charged Nov. 19 with failure to appear in the second degree.

Police reported on Nov. 19 at approximately 2:59 a.m. Kattermann was arrested on an active arrest warrant at 181 Melbourne St. Kattermann was given a court date of Nov. 19 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $2,500 surety bond.

DAVID BROUILLARD, 30, of 28 Parkman Place, Naugatuck, was charged Nov. 19 with failure to appear in the second degree.

Police reported on Nov. 19 at approximately 11:57 p.m. Brouillard was arrested at 28 Parkman Place on an active arrest warrant. Brouillard was given a court date of Nov. 20 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $10,000 surety bond.

MARCOS ROMAN, 22, of 343 Spring St., Naugatuck, was charged Nov. 20 with failure to appear in the second degree.

Police reported on Nov. 20 at approximately 12:20 a.m. Roman was arrested at 343 Spring St. on an active arrest warrant. Roman was given a court date of Dec. 3 to appear at Bantam Superior Court and released on a $500 surety bond.

JOSEPH BARREIRA, 25, of 91 Marjorie St., Naugatuck, was charged Nov. 20 with failure to appear in the second degree.

Police reported on Nov. 20 at approximately 1:27 a.m. Barreira was arrested at 91 Marjorie St. on an active arrest warrant. Barreira was given a court date of Nov. 20 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $5,000 surety bond.
