Naugatuck police blotter: larceny

The Naugatuck Police department reported the following arrests:

JOSE RODRIGUEZ, 22, of 8 Birchwood Terrace, Prospect, was charged Oct. 11 with larceny in the sixth degree and burglary in the third degree.

Police reported on Oct. 11 at approximately 7 a.m. the Seymour Police Department was holding Rodriguez on an active arrest warrant. Rodriguez was transported to the Naugatuck Police Department for processing. The warrant was for a burglary reported on Sept. 3, 2012. Police reported Rodriguez entered the victim’s home and stole a Vizio Flat screen TV valued at $399.00, a TV wall mount valued at $79, and $8 in change. Rodriguez was given a court date of Oct. 11 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $10,000 court-set surety bond.

CHRISTOPHER LAMOTTE, 23, of 505 Spring St., Naugatuck, was charged with larceny in the fourth degree and conspiracy at larceny in the fourth degree.

JAMIE RAGAZZINI, 22, of 505 Spring St., Naugatuck, was charged with larceny in the fourth degree and conspiracy at larceny in the fourth degree.

MICHAEL SANTOS, 29, of 133 Wedgewood Drive, Naugatuck, was charged Oct. 11 with breach of peace and threatening.

Police reported on Oct. 11 at approximately 4:55 a.m. officers responded to Tanglewood Lane for a disturbance call. Santos and another party sent text messages to each other to instigate the other to fight. Santos arrived at the other party’s home and yelled for him to come outside to fight him. Santos was given a court date of Oct. 17 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 non-surety bond.

CHRISTOPHER O’CONNELL, 23, of 61 Tanglewood Lane, Naugatuck, was charged Oct. 11 with breach of peace and threatening.

Police reported on Oct. 11 at approximately 4:55 a.m. officers responded to Tanglewood Lane for a disturbance call. O’Connell and another party sent text messages to each other to instigate the other to fight. The other party arrived at the O’Connell ’s home and yelled for him to come outside to fight him. O’Connell was given a court date of Oct. 17 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 non-surety bond.

TINA TEARDO, 36, of 50 Lounsbury St., Naugatuck, was charged Oct. 11 with violation of probation.

Police reported on Oct. 11 at approximately 7:31 p.m. Teardo was arrested at 50 Lounsbury St. Apt. 3 on an active arrest warrant. Teardo was given a court date of Oct. 12 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $25,000 court-set bond.

ABOU TSHIPAMBA, 21, of 214 Union City Road, Naugatuck, was charged Oct. 11 with possession with intent to sell, possession of controlled substance, and non-student in possession of drugs near a school, high school, or day care.

Police reported on Oct. 11 at approximately 8:50 p.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on North Main Street. During the investigation, police reported, Tshipamba and another party were found to be in possession of a marijuana pipe, rolling papers, 27 small clear plastic bags containing marijuana (total 29 grams) and two marijuana cigarettes. The location of the stop was within 1,500 feet of a school zone. Tshipamba was given a court date of Oct. 24 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $5,000 surety bond.

CHRISTOPHER DAVINO, 19, of 16 Rain Dance Circle, Naugatuck, was charged Oct. 11 with illegal possession of marijuana, non-student in possession of drugs near a school, high school, or day care, possession with intent to sell, and possession of paraphernalia.

Police reported on Oct. 11 at approximately 8:50 p.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on North Main Street. During the investigation, police reported, Davino and another party were found to be in possession of a marijuana pipe, rolling papers, 27 small clear plastic bags containing marijuana (total 29 grams) and two marijuana cigarettes. The location of the stop was within 1,500 feet of a school zone. Davino was given a court date of Oct. 24 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 surety bond.

MATTHEW COUTO, 30, of 27 Rough Wing Road, Naugatuck, was charged Oct. 12 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Oct. 12 at approximately 1:01 a.m. officers responded to 27 Rough Wing Road for a domestic disturbance between former boyfriend and girlfriend. During an argument, police reported, Couto struck the victim in the face with his elbow. Police reported Couto also threw eggs at the victim’s vehicle. Couto was given a court date of Oct. 12 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $2,500 non-surety bond.

GERALDINE SANANGELO, 50, of 50 Barrington Lane, Waterbury, was charged Oct. 12 with larceny in the sixth degree.

Police reported on Oct. 12 at approximately 3:11 p.m. officers responded to CVS for a shoplifting complaint. Police reported Sanangelo stole four boxes of diapers valued at $110.96. Sanangelo was given a court date of Oct. 24 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 surety bond.

JOSE RODRIGUES, 31, of 12 Aetna St., Naugatuck, was charged Oct. 12 with larceny in the sixth degree.

Police reported on Oct. 12 at 4:38 p.m. an officer responded to Big Y for a shoplifting complaint. Rodrigues stole $40 worth of merchandise from the store, police reported. Rodrigues was given a court date of Oct. 24 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 surety bond.

CHELSEA HITZLER, 19, of 47 East Hill Road, Oxford, was charged Oct. 12 with larceny in the fifth degree and conspiracy at larceny in the fifth degree.

Police reported on Oct. 12 at 4:28 p.m. officers responded to Walmart for a shoplifting complaint. Hitzler
And another party stole $763.88 worth of DVDs from the electronics department, police reported. Hitzler was given a court date of Oct. 24 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released a promise to appear.

ROGER PRATT, 24, of 139 Lewis St., Naugatuck, was charged Oct. 12 with attempt to commit crime at criminal trespass in the third degree and criminal mischief in the second degree.

Police reported on Oct. 12 at approximately 3:52 p.m. an officer responded to Horton Hill Road for a burglary report. Police reported Pratt attempted to gain entry to victim’s residence, who was an acquaintance. Pratt damaged a door and window trying to gain access to the home, police reported. Pratt was given a court date of Oct. 24 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 non-surety bond.

ALLYSON QUINN, 20, of 29 Farrel St., Seymour, was charged Oct. 12 with larceny in the fifth degree, conspiracy at larceny in the fifth degree, and criminal trespass in the first degree.

Police reported on Oct. 12 at 4:28 p.m. officers responded to Walmart for a shoplifting complaint. Quinn and another party stole $763.88 worth of DVDs from the electronics department, police reported. Quinn was a repeat offender and has trespassed at Walmart in the past, police reported. Quinn was given a court date of Oct. 24 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released a $500 non-surety bond.

ANTONIO JACKSON, 36, of 162 Oak St., Waterbury, was charged Oct. 12 with larceny in the sixth degree, interfering with an officer, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police reported on Oct. 12 at approximately 5:13 p.m. an officer responded to CVS for a shoplifting complaint. When the officer arrived, police reported, Jackson ran from the officer and was stopped on Spring Street. During the investigation, police reported, Jackson was found to be in possession of glass pipe used to smoke narcotics. Jackson stole $379.43 worth of merchandise consisting of Enfamil formula, razors and two Norelco Cordless razors, police reported. Jackson was given a court date of Oct. 24 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 surety bond.

DONNA COSSETTE, 56, of 115 Thunderbird Drive, Naugatuck, was charged Oct. 12 with failure to respond to infraction.

Police reported on Oct. 12 at approximately 9:54 p.m. Cossette was arrested at 115 Thunderbird Drive on an active arrest warrant. Cossette was given a court date of Oct. 24 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $75 court-set cash bond.

DWIGHT MCKENNEY, 46, of 44 Lewis St., Naugatuck, was charged Oct. 12 with evading responsibility motor vehicle.

Police reported on Oct. 12 at approximately 8:53 p.m. an officer responded to Mobil on South Main Street for a motor vehicle accident. When McKenney was backing his truck in the parking lot he struck the victim’s parked vehicle, police reported. McKenney then drove from the area. McKenney was identified by a witness observing his registration plate. McKenney was given a court date of Oct. 25 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

JOHN HINE, 28, of 212 Westmount Drive, Waterbury, was charged Oct. 13 with failure to respond to infraction.

Police reported on Oct. 13 at approximately 2:27 a.m. Hine was arrested on Meadow Street on an active arrest warrant. Hine was given a court date of Oct. 24 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $103 court-set cash bond.

RICHARD RODRIGUEZ, 42, of 20 Fisher Court, Stratford, was charged Oct. 13 with illegal sale of controlled substance and distribution of controlled substances within 1,500 feet of a school.

Police reported on Oct. 13 at approximately 3:30 a.m. the Shelton Police Department was holding Rodriguez on an active arrest warrant. Rodriguez was transported to the Naugatuck Police Department for processing. The warrant was the result of a narcotics investigation during the month of August 2012, with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives. Police reported Rodriguez sold 11 Xanax pills to the informant under electronic surveillance and within 1,500 feet of a daycare facility. He was given a court date of Oct. 15 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $7,500 court-set bond.

ROBERT SCAVONE, 23, of 18 Rockwell Ave., Naugatuck, was charged Oct. 13 with reckless driving and evading responsibility motor vehicle.

Police reported on Oct. 13 at approximately 3:15 p.m. Scavone turned himself in on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a motor vehicle accident that occurred on Sept. 20, 2012 at the intersection of Rubber Avenue and Melboure Street. Scavone was given a court date of Oct. 24 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

VINCENZO CHIARAVALLOTI, 35, of 1845 Meriden Road, Wolcott, was charged Oct. 13 with possession with intent to sell, possession of controlled substance, and use of drug paraphernalia.

Police reported on Oct. 13 at approximately 4:23 p.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on Exit 26 South for Route 8. During the investigation, police reported, Chiaravalloti was found in possession of 58 Xanax pills, 65 Alprazolam pills, a device used to crush pills and a blue plastic straw used to snort the crushed pills. Chiaravalloti was given a court date of Oct. 15 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $5,000 surety bond.

RAKIP GENGIS, 36, of 31 Coral Drive, Waterbury, was charged Oct. 13 with use of drug paraphernalia and possession of controlled substance.

Police reported on Oct. 13 at approximately 4:23 p.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on Exit 26 South for Route 8. During the investigation, police reported, Gengis was found in possession of glass smoking pipe, two Xanxas pills and one Alprozolam pill. Gengis was given a court date of Oct. 15 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $2,500 surety bond.

ANGEL GARCIA, 18, of 153 Rubber Ave., Naugatuck, was charged Oct. 14 with possession of controlled substance and carrying and sale of dangerous weapon.

Police reported on Oct. 14 at approximately 12:17 p.m. an officer observed Garcia showing two other males a silver colored knife. Garcia then showed the other males a baggy containing white colored pills, police reported. During the investigation it was determined Garcia was in possession of eight Fluoxetine pills and a stainless steel kitchen knife, police reported. Garcia was given a court date of Oct. 15 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $2,500 surety bond.

KIMBERLY MORIN, 38, of Park Place, Winsted, was charged Oct. 14 with larceny in the sixth degree and possession of paraphernalia.

MIQUEL ARROYO, 53, of 39 Horton Hill Road, Naugatuck, was charged Oct. 14 with threatening.

Police reported on Oct. 14 at approximately 7:28 p.m. officers responded to 39 Horton Hill Road unit 7G for a domestic disturbance between boyfriends. During an argument, police reported, Arroyo stated he was going to harm the victim. Arroyo was given a court date of Oct. 15 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.
