Naugatuck police blotter: DUI
The Naugatuck Police Department reported the following arrests:
LINDA RODRIGUES, 21, of 14 Visconti Drive, Naugatuck, was charged Oct. 19 with driving under the influence, failure to obey control signal, and failure to keep right.
Police reported on Oct. 19 at approximately 1:26 a.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on Maple Hill Road. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Rodrigues was operating under the influence of alcohol. Rodrigues was given a court date of Nov. 1 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.
SHAWN LAROWE, 19, of 15 Seth Drive, Naugatuck, was charged Oct. 20 with carrying a dangerous weapon.
Police reported on Oct. 20 at approximately 3:27 a.m. an officer responded to the area of Highland Avenue and Walnut Street for a suspicious person. During the investigation, police reported, Larowe was found to be in possession of two knives with blade lengths of 9 inches and 6 inches. Larowe was given a court date of Oct. 31 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $5,000 non-surety bond.
JOHN CARBONI, 19, of 151 Andrew Ave., Naugatuck, was charged Oct. 20 with possession of less than four ounces of marijuana and two counts of weapons in vehicle.
Police reported on Oct. 20 at approximately 4:37 p.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on the exit 26 onramp to Route 8 south. During the investigation, police reported, Carboni was found to be in possession of fixed blade knife, brass knuckles folding knife and 0.71 ounces of marijuana. Carboni was given a court date of Oct. 31 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $2,000 surety bond.
MICHAEL STAMANT, 32, of 68 White Oak Ave., Plainville, was charged Oct. 21 with driving under the influence and entry upon limited access highway at undesignated point.
Police reported on Oct. 21 at approximately 2:02 a.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on the Exit 27 offramp for Route 8 south. Police reported Stamant entered the ramp traveling in the wrong direction. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Stamant was operating under the influence of alcohol. Stamant was given a court date of Nov. 1 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $5,000 surety bond.
AYDA GARCIA, 44, of 56 Brookside Ave., Naugatuck, was charged Oct. 21 with driving under the influence and failure to keep right.
Police reported on Oct. 21 at approximately 2:47 a.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on North Church Street. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Garcia was operating under the influence of alcohol. Garcia was given a court date of Nov. 1 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.
PATRICK OCCHINO, 29, of 190 North Main St., Naugatuck, was charged Oct. 21 with criminal mischief in the fourth degree.
Police reported on Oct. 21 at approximately 8:56 p.m. an officer responded to Maple Street by Old Firehouse Road for a vandalism complaint. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Occhino scratched letters into the traffic box. Occhino was given a court date of Oct. 31 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $2,500 surety bond.
RONNIE AMMAR, 22, of 6 Celentano Drive, Naugatuck, was charged Oct. 22 with driving under the influence.
Police reported on Oct. 22 at approximately 12:50 a.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on Prospect Street. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Ammar was operating under the influence of alcohol. He was given a court date of Nov. 1 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 non-surety bond.
SHAYNE BLAKE, 25, of 91 Morris St., Naugatuck, was charged Oct. 22 with possession of less than four ounces of marijuana.
Police reported on Oct. 22 at approximately 12:50 a.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on Prospect Street. During the investigation, police reported, Blake was found to be in possession of 1.03 ounces of marijuana. He was given a court date of Nov. 1 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 non-surety bond.
