Naugatuck police blotter: tampering with evidence
The Naugatuck Police Department reported the following arrests:
MARTESE PRUDEN, 24, of 14 Church St., Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 10 with tampering with or fabricating physical evidence.
Police reported on Sept. 10 Pruden was arrested on an active arrest warrant while he was at court. The warrant was for an assault that occurred on June 18, 2012. Police reported Pruden cleaned up the area where a robbery/assault occurred at the Urban Cutz. Pruden was given a court date of Sept. 10 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held for arraignment.
JAMES KELLEY, 35, of 13 Walnut St., Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 11 with failure to register: nonviolent sexual offense.
Police reported on Sept. 11 Kelley was arrested on an active arrest warrant while he was at court. The warrant was for Kelley failing to verify his address in accordance with the sex offender registry. Kelley was given a court date of Sept. 11 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held for arraignment.
JOSE CALDERON, 32, of 85 Pine Brook Terrace, Bristol, was charged Sept. 11 with interfering with an officer.
Police reported on Sept. 11 at approximately 2:30 a.m. Calderon was arrested on an active arrest warrant at 85 Pinebrook Terrace Apt. 9 in Bristol. Calderon was transported to the Naugatuck Police Department for processing. The warrant was for a missing person complaint reported on Aug. 15, 2012. Police reported Calderon lied to police in regards to the whereabouts of a missing person that was staying in his home. Calderon was given a court date of Sept. 19 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 surety bond.
DANIEL ZILLI, 21, of 21 Highland Ave., Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 11 with breach of peace and interfering with an officer.
Police reported on Sept. 11 officers responded to 21 Highland Ave. for a domestic disturbance between boyfriend and girlfriend. Police reported Zilli banged on the door with his fists after being told numerous times to leave. When he was being placed under arrest he actively resisted by trying to pull his arms and hands free of the officer’s grip, police reported. Zilli was given a court date of Sept. 12 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $200 surety bond.
KRISTENSEN STEELE, 39, of 182 Auburn St., Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 11 with failure to appear in the second degree.
Police reported on Sept. 11 at approximately 9:21 a.m. Steele turned himself in on an active arrest warrant. Steele was given a court date of Sept. 19 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a court-set $195 cash bond.
RICHARD SANCHEZ, 35, of 79 Melbourne St., Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 11 with breach of peace.

TRISHENA WATERS, 29, of 120 Randolph Ave., Waterbury, was charged Sept. 12 with breach of peace.
Police reported on Sept. 12 at approximately 8:45 a.m. Waters turned herself in on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for an assault reported on July 10, 2012 that occurred at C.W. Resources. During an argument, police reported, Waters punched the victim on the right side of her head. Waters was given a court date of Sept. 12 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $5,000 court-set bond.
RUI DASILVA, 40, of 68 Lounsbury Ave., Waterbury, was charged Sept. 12 with disorderly conduct, assault in the third degree, and stalking in the third degree.
Police reported on Sept. 12 at approximately 8:52 a.m. officers responded to 68 Terrace Ave. for a domestic disturbance between former boyfriend and girlfriend. Police reported Dasilva followed the victim, in his vehicle, to the victim’s home. During an argument, police reported, Dasilva grabbed a water bottle out of the victim’s hands and threw it against the neighbor’s house. Dasilva also grabbed the victim by her arms and shook her, police reported. Dasilva was given a court date of Sept. 13 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $2,500 surety bond.
