Naugatuck police blotter: sexual assault
The Naugatuck Police Department reported the following arrests:
ADAM BAILEY, 21, of 267 Pennsylvania Ave., Bridgeport, was charged Sept. 3 with sexual assault in the second degree and risk of injury to a child.
Police reported on Sept. 3 at approximately 11:26 p.m. Bridgeport police were holding Bailey on an active arrest warrant out of Naugatuck. Bailey was transported to the Naugatuck Police Department for processing. The warrant was for a sexual assault that occurred in November 2010. Police reported Bailey was sexually active with a female juvenile who was between the age of 13 and 16 and he was more than three years older than the victim. Bailey was given a court date of Sept. 4 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $10,000 surety bond.
LUIS TORRELLAS, 54, of 286 North Main St., Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 4 with larceny in the fourth degree.
Police reported on Sept. 4 at approximately 8:22 p.m. Torrellas was arrested on an active arrest warrant at 286 North Main St. The warrant was for a larceny reported on June 19, 2012. Police reported Torrellas switched circuit breakers for the electrical service to his apartment into the owner’s unit for the amount of $2,011.47. Torrellas was given a court date of Sept. 12 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 non-surety bond.
SCOTT ANDREWS, 35, of 38 Kent St., Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 4 with interfering with an emergency call and disorderly conduct.
Police reported on Sept. 4 at approximately 5:56 p.m. officers responded to 38 Kent St. for a domestic disturbance between family members. During an argument, police reported, Andrews grabbed a phone from the victim and broke it when the victim was trying to contact the police. Andrews was given a court date of Sept. 5 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $500 surety bond.
LAWRENCE ALLEN, 23, of 352 North Hoadley St., Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 4 with larceny in the sixth degree.
Police reported on Sept. 4 at approximately 8:36 p.m. an officer responded to Walmart for a shoplifting complaint. Allen stole Redbull and Monster energy drinks worth $131.60, police reported. Allen was given a court date of Sept. 12 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $2,500 non-surety bond.
RACHELLE MAURIELLO, 33, of 2 Smoke Rise Circle, Prospect, was charged Sept. 5 with driving under the influence and failure to drive upon right.
Police reported on Sept. 5 at approximately 12:46 a.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on New Haven Road. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Mauriello was operating under the influence of alcohol. Mauriello was given a court of Sept. 13 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 non-surety bond.
DAVID LUCISANO, 19, of 193 Spring St., Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 5 with violation of probation.
Police reported on Sept. 5 at approximately 6:55 a.m. Lucisano turned himself in on an active arrest warrant. Lucisano was given a court date of Sept. 5 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $15,000 court-set bond.
