Naugatuck police blotter: sale of narcotics

The Naugatuck Police Department reported the following arrests:

NICHOLAS TENBRINK, 25, of 100 Turk Hill Road, Brewster, N.Y., was charged Aug. 31 with illegal sale of narcotics and distribution of controlled substance within 1,500 feet of a school.

Police reported on Aug. 31 at approximately 2 p.m. Tenbrink was arrested on an active arrest warrant. During the month of April 2011, police reported, the Detective Division of the Naugatuck Police Department assisted the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives with a narcotics investigation in the greater Waterbury area. Police reported Tenbrink sold Oxycodone Hydrocholoride to the ATF confidential informant for $300. The transaction occurred within 1,500 feet of a school or daycare, police reported. Tenbrink was given a court date of Sept. 4 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $15,000 court-set bond.

PETER NEVES, 45, of last known address 343 Spring St., Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 31 with burglary in the second degree, larceny in the third degree, criminal trover damage to motor vehicle in the second degree, larceny in the fifth degree, conspiracy to commit burglary in the second degree, conspiracy to commit larceny in the third degree, conspiracy to commit criminal trover in the second degree, and conspiracy to commit larceny in the fifth degree.

Police reported on Aug. 31 at approximately 9:45 a.m. Neves was arrested at court on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a burglary complaint made on July 17, 2012. Police reported Neves, with a female accomplice, entered an acquaintance’s home and stole several ceramic figurines worth $1,500, $80 and a 1994 Toyota Camry. The vehicle was located the next day on North Main Street were it was abandoned due to mechanical problems, police reported. Neves was given a court date of Aug. 31 and held for arraignment on a $10,000 court-set bond.

DANIEL TARNOWICZ
, 27, of 163 Maple Hill Road, Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 31 with driving under the influence and traveling unreasonably fast.

Police reported on Aug. 31 at approximately 12:57 a.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on South Main Street. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Tarnowicz was operating under the influence of alcohol. Tarnowicz was given a court date of Sept. 13 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

LARISSA SOVA, 38, of 1012 Old Colony Road, Meriden, was charged Aug. 31 with driving under the influence, failure to have head lamps, and use of drug paraphernalia.

Police reported on Aug. 31 at approximately 1:44 a.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on Maple Street. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Sova was operating under the influence of alcohol. During the investigation, police reported, Sova was found to be in possession of a glass smoking pipe. Sova was given a court date of Aug. 31 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a total $1,000 surety bond.

JAMES BARCHUS, 46, of 18 Bridge St., Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 31 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Aug. 31 at approximately 5:56 p.m. officers responded to 18 Bridge St. 1P for a domestic disturbance between roommates. During an argument, police reported, Barchus slapped the victim in the face and left the residence. Barchus was located a short time later on Water Street, police reported. He was given a court date of Sept. 4 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $2,500 non-surety bond.

STEVEN CARLOTO, 44, of 302 High St., Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 31 with breach of peace and vehicle driven with intent to harass or intimidate.

Police reported on Aug. 31 at approximately 5:53 p.m. an officer responded to 126 Hoadley St. for an assault. During a road rage incident, police reported, Carloto with a juvenile followed the victim to his house were they exited their vehicle. Carloto was holding a 2-by-4 and the victim held a bat, police reported. The juvenile took the bat from the victim’s hands and threw it at the victim’s truck shattering the back window, police reported. Carloto was given a court date of Sept. 5 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a promise to appear.

JAMES REAGAN, 23, of 43 Central Ave., Waterbury, was charged Aug. 31 with criminal mischief in the second degree, breach of peace, and burglary in the third degree.

Police reported on Aug. 31 at approximately 11:21 p.m. officers responded to 199 Cherry St. for a burglary complaint. Reagan forced entry to a vehicle by breaking a window and was found sleeping inside the vehicle, police reported. Reagan was given a court date of Sept. 5 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $5,000 surety bond.

AMANDIO ALVES JR., 37, of 44 Tracy Ann Court, Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 1 with driving under the influence, illegal operation of motor vehicle under suspension, failure to display plates.

Police reported on Sept. 1 at approximately 4:13 a.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on the Exit 26 Route 8 South off ramp. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Alves was operating under the influence of alcohol. He was given a court date of Sept. 4 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $5,000 surety bond.

VINCENT BRADLEY, 28, of 24 Baldwin St., Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 1 with risk of injury to a child, assault in the third degree, and breach of peace.

Police reported on Sept. 1 at approximately 9:11 p.m. officers responded to 24 Baldwin St. for a domestic disturbance between boyfriend and girlfriend. During an argument that occurred in a vehicle, police reported, Bradley punched the victim in the face. The victim sustained swelling and bruising to her left eye, police reported. The victim’s juvenile children were in the vehicle at that time, police reported. Bradley was given a court date of Sept. 4 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $10,000 surety bond.

KIMBERLY GALLANT, 30, of 75 Longwood Drive, Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 2 with driving under the influence, restricted turn, and failure to drive upon right.

Police reported on Sept. 2 at approximately 2:59 a.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on May Street. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Gallant was operating under the influence of alcohol. Gallant was given a court date of Sept. 13 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

JESSICA MCCANN, 28, of 290 High St., Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 2 with risk of injury to a child and assault in the third degree.

Police reported on Sept. 2 at approximately 2:05 p.m. McCann was arrested at 290 High St. on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for an assault reported on Sept. 1, 2012. Police reported McCann pulled a juvenile off of a bed causing him to strike his back on a bar of the bed. The juvenile had bruises on his back and legs, police reported. McCann was given a court date of Sept. 4 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a court-set $10,000 surety bond.

McCann was additionally charged with risk of injury to a child and assault in the third degree on Sept. 3, police reported. The report for these charges was not complete as of this post.

KYLE PORGES, 22, of 352 North Hoadley St., Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 2 with breach of peace.

Police reported on Sept. 2 at approximately 6:23 p.m. officers responded to Highland Circle for a domestic disturbance between boyfriend and girlfriend. During an argument, police reported, Porges pushed the victim to the ground. When the victim’s family member intervened, police reported, Porges pushed her to the ground also. Porges was given a court date of Sept. 4 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $2,500 non-surety bond.

DARRYL DETUZZI, 53, of 8 Garden St., Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 2 with breach of peace.

Police reported at approximately 10:48 p.m. officers were dispatched to 8 Garden St. for a domestic disturbance father and son. During an argument, police reported, Detuzzi grabbed and pulled at the victim. Detuzzi was given a court date of Sept. 4 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 non-surety bond.

NICOLE SHELDON, 23, of 47 Lewis Circle, Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 3 with driving under the influence and failure to signal properly.

The report was not completed as of this post.

JAMES GAGNON, 47, of 33 Aetna St., Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 3 with disorderly conduct and assault in the third degree.

Police reported on Sept. 3 at approximately 9:53 a.m. officers responded to 33 Aetna St. 2nd floor for a domestic dispute between roommates. During an argument, police reported, Gagnon sprayed the victim with pepper spray. Gagnon was given a court date of Sept. 4 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $2,500 non-surety bond.
