Naugatuck police blotter: evading responsibility
The Naugatuck Police Department reported the following arrests:
BRIAN MILLER, 59, of 24 Brubaker Road, Cheshire, was charged Sept. 6 with evading responsibility with a motor vehicle, failure to drive in proper lane, and improper operating/driving/parking of motor vehicle on the sidewalk.
Police reported on Sept. 6 at approximately 1:06 a.m. an officer responded to Cumberland Farms for an evading motor vehicle accident. While Miller was traveling south on Meadow Street he struck a 25 mph sign and drove over the mulch into the parking lot of Cumberland Farms, police reported. He then left the area but was located later at his home, police reported. Miller was given a court date of Sept. 20 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.
DONALD HARRINGTON, of 2419 Gulf To Bay Blvd., Cleanwater, Fla., was charged Sept. 7 with larceny in the sixth degree and conspiracy to commit larceny in the sixth degree.
Police reported on Sept. 7 at approximately 12:08 a.m. Harrington was held on an active arrest warrant by the Waterbury Police Department and transported to the Naugatuck Police Department for processing. The warrant was for a larceny that occurred at Walmart on July 11, 2012. Harrington, with a female accomplice, stole a 32 inch Emerson TV, police reported. Harrington was given a court date of Sept. 7 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $1,000 surety bond.
MELISSA MOORES, 36, of 2419 Gulf To Bay Blvd., Cleanwater, Fla., was charged Sept. 7 with larceny in the sixth degree, conspiracy to commit larceny in the sixth degree, and two counts of failure to appear in the second degree.
Police reported on Sept. 7 at approximately 12:08 a.m. Moores was held on three active arrest warrants by the Waterbury Police Department and transported to the Naugatuck Police Department for processing. The warrant was for a larceny that occurred at Walmart on July 11, 2012. Moores, with a male accomplice, stole a 32 inch Emerson TV, police reported. Moores was given a court date of Sept. 7 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a total $61,000 surety bond.
MOHAMMAD ALAM, 48, of 46 Proctor St., Waterbury, was charged Sept. 7 with illegal use of counterfeit marking and criminal simulation.

TIMOTHY CLARK, 36, of 274 North Main St., Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 7 with larceny in the sixth degree.
Police reported on Sept. 7 at approximately 4:17 p.m. an officer responded to Walmart for a shoplifting complaint. Clark stole merchandise that was valued at $109.99, police reported. Clark was given a court date of Sept. 19 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,500 non-surety bond.
JOHN BROWN, 26, of 266 Morning Dove Road, Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 7 with failure to appear in the second degree, failure to have tail lamps, operation of motor vehicle when registration or license is refused, suspended, or revoked, possession of less than a half ounce of marijuana, and failure to respond to payable violation.
Police reported on Sept. 7 at approximately 7:29 a.m. Brown turned himself in on two active arrest warrants. He was given a court date of Sept. 19 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on bond.
ERIC GAFFNEY, 38, of 133 West St., Seymour, was charged Sept. 8 with driving under the influence and failure to drive upon right.
Police reported on Sept. 8 at approximately 3:38 a.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on Church Street. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Gaffney was operating under the influence of alcohol. Gaffney was given a court date of Sept. 20 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.
STEPHANIE LUCISANO, 21, of 193 Spring St., Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 8 with assault in the third degree and disorderly conduct.
Police reported on Sept. 8 at approximately 8:40 p.m. officers responded to 193 Spring St. 2nd floor for a domestic disturbance between brother and sister. During an argument, police reported, Lucisano spit on the victim repeatedly. Lucisano was given a court date of Sept. 10 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $2,500 surety bond.
JAMES GADREAULT JR., 22, of 52 Maloney Court, Winsted, was charged Sept. 9 with larceny in the fourth degree.
Police reported on Sept. 9 at approximately 10:19 p.m. Gadreault was held on an active arrest warrant by the Winsted Police Department. Gadreault was transported to the Naugatuck Police Department for processing. The warrant was for a larceny that occurred at 18 Church St., Metro PCS. Police reported Gadreault stole $810 in cash and a Samsung cell phone worth $299.99 from his employer. Gadreault was given a court date of Sept. 19 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 non-surety bond.
EDWARD RAIMO, 27, of 129 Lewis St., Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 9 with assault in the second degree and disorderly conduct.
Police reported on Sept. 9 at approximately 12:35 a.m. officers responded to 129 Lewis St. for an assault. During an argument, police reported, Raimo hit the victim, who is an acquaintance, over the head with a glass table. The victim was taken to Waterbury Hospital for treatment, police reported. Raimo was given a court date of Sept. 19 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $5,000 surety bond.
TRINA AMATO, 33, of 50 West St., Waterbury, was charged Sept. 9 with driving under the influence.
Police reported on Sept. 9 at approximately 7:14 p.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on Platts Mill Road. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Amato was operating under the influence of alcohol. Amato was given a court date of Sept. 20 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,500 non-surety bond.
