Naugatuck police blotter: DUI
The Naugatuck Police Department reported the following arrests:
JAMES BLADE, 50, of 343 Wedgewood Drive, Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 14 with driving under the influence.
Police reported on Sept. 14 at approximately 7:27 p.m. an officer responded to the Stop & Shop Plaza for a suspicious vehicle complaint. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Blade was operating under the influence of alcohol. Blade was given a court date of Sept. 27 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 surety bond.
ALLISON GEORGE, 46, of 39 Cold Spring Circle, Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 15 with driving under the influence, failure to drive in proper lane, and making an improper turn.
Police reported on Sept. 15 at approximately 12:27 a.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on Prospect Street. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined George was operating under the influence of alcohol. George was given a court date of Sept. 20 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.
MEGAN GRAHAM, 22, of 111 Carmel Hill Road, Bethlehem, was charged Sept. 15 with criminal trespass in the second degree, conspiracy at larceny in the sixth degree, and conspiracy at burglary in the third degree.
Police reported on Sept. 15 at approximately 12:51 a.m. officers responded to AT Transmission for a trespassing complaint. Graham with two accomplices stole car batteries from vehicles parked in the rear of the business, police reported. The parties used bolt cutters to cut the wire terminals to remove the batteries, police reported. Graham was given a court date of Sept. 26 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $2,500 non-surety bond.
NICHOLAS KISH, 29, of 111 Caramel Hill Road, Bethlehem, was charged Sept. 15 with criminal trespass in the second degree, conspiracy at larceny in the sixth degree, conspiracy at burglary in the third degree, larceny in the sixth degree, criminal mischief in the second degree, burglary in the third degree, and possession of burglar’s tools.
Police reported on Sept. 15 at approximately 12:51 a.m. officers responded to AT Transmission for a trespassing complaint. Kish with two accomplices stole car batteries from vehicles parked in the rear of the business, police reported. The parties used bolt cutters to cut the wire terminals to remove the batteries, police reported. Kish was given a court date of Sept. 17 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $5,000 surety bond.
BRIAN COLLINS, 27, of 42 Tawny Thrush Road, Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 15 with criminal trespass in the second degree, conspiracy at larceny in the sixth degree, and conspiracy at burglary in the third degree.
Police reported on Sept. 15 at approximately 12:51 a.m. officers responded to AT Transmission for a trespassing complaint. Collins with two accomplices stole car batteries from vehicles parked in the rear of the business, police reported. The parties used bolt cutters to cut the wire terminals to remove the batteries, police reported. Collins was given a court date of Sept. 17 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $2,500 surety bond.
THERESA BUKER, 28, of 17 Pond St., Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 15 with disorderly conduct and risk of injury to a child.
Police reported on Sept. 15 at approximately 12:06 p.m. officers responded to 17 Pond St. for a domestic disturbance between roommates. During an argument, police reported, Buker punched the victim. The disturbance occurred in front of the Buker’s child, police reported. Buker was given a court date of Sept. 17 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 surety bond.
GREGORY CARDONE, 24, of 17 Pond St., Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 15 with disorderly conduct and risk of injury to a child.
Police reported on Sept. 15 at approximately 12:06 p.m. officers responded to 17 Pond St. for a domestic disturbance between roommates. During an argument, police reported, Cardone pushed the victim down. The disturbance occurred in front of the victim’s child, police reported. Cardone was given a court date of Sept. 17 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 surety bond.
KENNETH GARTLAND, 45, of 487 Spring St., Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 15 with breach of peace and criminal mischief in the first degree.
Police reported on Sept. 15 at approximately 4:32 p.m. officers responded to 479 North Spring St. apt. C for domestic disturbance between uncle and nephew. Gartland arrived at the victim’s residence banging on the door, police reported. Gartland entered the home uninvited and initiated an argument, police reported. Gartland was given a court date of Sept. 17 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $2,500 surety bond.
EDWARD GARRETT, 77, of 65 Hoadley St., Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 15 with breach of peace.
Police reported on Sept. 15 an officer was dispatched to Kosko Lane for a suspicious motor vehicle complaint. Garrett approached a group of children playing in a yard and asked the children to enter his vehicle so he could drive them to his home, police reported. Garrett was given a court date of Sept. 26 to appear a Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 non-surety bond.
CHRISTOPHER DASILVA, 21, of 145 Highland Ave., Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 15 with burglary in the third degree and criminal mischief in the first degree.
JOSHUA TULLEY, 18, of 87 Hickory Lane, Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 15 with burglary in the third degree and criminal mischief in the first degree.
MATHEW LANTIERI, 20, of 21 Mulberry St., Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 15 with burglary in the third degree and criminal mischief in the first degree.
RUSSELL MESERVEY, 27, of 163 Draher St., Waterbury, was charged Sept. 16 with breach of peace.
Police reported on Sept. 16 at approximately 1:05 a.m. an officer was dispatched to the area of Scott Street and Arch Street for a suspicious person. Police reported Meservey threw cinder blocks into the roadway. Meservey was given a court date of Sept. 26 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.
RAYMOND WEISE, 22, of 253 Spencer St., Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 16 with disorderly conduct.
Police reported on Sept. 16 at approximately 4:48 p.m. officers responded to 253 Spencer St. for a domestic disturbance between stepfather and stepson. During an argument, police reported, Weise lunged at the victim and had to be separated by other family members in the home. Weise was given a court date of Sept. 17 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 non-surety bond.
JESSICA BENIASH, 30, of 114 Quinn St., Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 17 with disorderly conduct.
Police reported on Sept. 17 at approximately 6:59 a.m. officers responded to 114 Quinn St. for a domestic disturbance between mother and daughter. During an argument, police reported, Beniash grabbed the victim by the neck and strangled her. Beniash was given a court date of Sept. 17 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court. The bond amount was not stated in report.
ANNAMAY BENIASH, 63, of 114 Quinn St., Naugatuck, was charged Sept. 17 with disorderly conduct.
Police reported on Sept. 17 at approximately 6:59 a.m. officers responded to 114 Quinn St. for a domestic disturbance between mother and daughter. During an argument, police reported, Beniash threw a cup of coffee at the victim. Also the accused scratched and hit the victim, police reported. Beniash was given a court date of Sept. 17 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court. The bond amount was not stated in report.
