Naugatuck police blotter: sexual assault
The Naugatuck Police Department reported the following arrests:
JOHNNY ANDERSON, 32, of 933 Rubber Ave., Naugatuck, was charged July 30 with sexual assault in the fourth degree, illegal sexual contact with victim under the age of 16, and risk of injury to a child.
Police reported on July 30 at approximately 2:24 p.m. Anderson turned himself in on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a sexual assault that was reported on March 11, 2012. Anderson inappropriately touched a female juvenile who is known to him two years ago and last year, police reported. Anderson was given a court date of July 31 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $25,000 surety bond.
MARVIN GANT, 55, of 32 Anderson St., Naugatuck, was charged July 30 with driving under the influence, reckless driving, and evading responsibility.
Police reported on July 30 at approximately 6:46 p.m. Gant was arrested at 32 Anderson St. on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for an evading motor vehicle accident that occurred on June 7, 2012. Gant struck a telephone pole and left the scene of the accident, police reported. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Gant was operating under the influence of alcohol. Gant was given a court date of Aug. 8 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 surety bond.
ERIC CHANDLER, 25, of 345 Millville Ave., Naugatuck, was charged July 30 with carrying a dangerous weapon.
Police reported on July 30 at approximately 8:55 p.m. an officer was investigating a suspicious person complaint on Church Street. During the investigation, police reported, Chandler was found to be in possession of a single-edged switchblade. Chandler was given a court date of Aug. 8 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $2,500 non-surety bond.
ANTONIO JACKSON, 35, of 162 Oak St., Waterbury, was charged with larceny in the sixth degree.

ERIC BLALOCK, 24, of 15 Cindy Drive, Waterbury, was charged July 31 with failure to respond-payable violation.

GARY LUKOSEVAGE, 39, of 129 Lewis St., Naugatuck, was charged July 31 with breach of peace.
Police reported on July 31 at approximately 8:40 p.m. officers responded to 129 Lewis St. for a report of a physical altercation between two males. The males, who are roommates, pushed and shoved each other outside their home, disturbing the neighbors. Lukosevage was given a court date of Aug. 1 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 surety bond.
FRED DELUCA, 40, of 129 Lewis St., Naugatuck, was charged July 31 with breach of peace.
Police reported on July 31 at approximately 8:40 p.m. officers responded to 129 Lewis St. for a report of a physical altercation between two males. The males, who are roommates, pushed and shoved each other outside their home, disturbing the neighbors. Deluca was given a court date of Aug. 1 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 surety bond.
CHARLES MUHAMMAD, 37, of 933 Rubber Ave., Naugatuck, was charged July 31 with disorderly conduct, threatening, and violation of conditions of release.
Police reported on July 31 at approximately 9:58 p.m. officers responded to 933 Rubber Ave. 2R for a domestic disturbance between boyfriend and girlfriend. During an argument, police reported, Muhammad threatened to harm the victim. Muhammad was given a court date of Aug. 1 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $5,000 surety bond.
At approximately 11:35 p.m. an officer responded to 933 Rubber Ave. 2R for a violation of a conditions of release. Muhammad was arrested earlier in the day and issued a no contact conditions of release from the victim. After bonding out on the previous arrest, Muhammad violated the order by making contact with the victim, police reported. Muhammad was given a court date of Aug. 1 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $15,000 surety bond.
BRIAN LOVALLO, 36, of 81 Russell St., Waterbury, was charged Aug. 1 with driving under the influence, operation of motor vehicle when license or registration is refused, suspended, or revoked, and failure to register motor vehicle eligible for commercial use.
Police reported on Aug. 1 at approximately 12:49 a.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on Maple Street. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Lovallo was operating under the influence of alcohol. Lovallo was given a court date of Aug. 8 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 surety bond.
MATTHEW BENNETT, 25, of 349 Allen St., Torrington, was charged Aug. 1 with criminal violation of protective order.
Police reported on Aug. 1 at approximately 5:43 a.m. Bennett turned himself in on active arrest warrant. The warrant was for an incident reported on July 13, 2012. Bennett contacted the victim, by e-mail, which was in violation of a protective order, police reported. Bennett was given a court date of Aug. 1 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $10,000 surety bond.
DANIEL HAYWOOD, 42, of 28 Nettleton Ave., Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 1 with breach of peace, sexual assault in the fourth degree, disorderly conduct, and threatening in the second degree.
Police reported on Aug. 1 at approximately 9:32 a.m. officers responded to 28 Nettleton Ave. for a report of a domestic disturbance between family members. During an argument, police reported, Haywood broke dishes and threatened to harm the victim. He was given a court date of Aug. 2 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $10,000 surety bond.
At approximately 12 p.m. Aug. 1 police reported Haywood was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for an incident that occurred on Nov. 6, 2011 at the Polish American Club. Police reported Haywood inappropriately touched the victim, who is an acquaintance of his. He was given a court date of Aug. 2 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $50,000 surety bond.
JOHN MALGARI, 37, of 167 Gorman St., Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 1 with disorderly conduct.
Police reported on Aug. 1 at approximately 8:10 p.m. officers responded to 16 Hard St. for a domestic disturbance between boyfriend and girlfriend. During an argument, police reported, the two parties pushed each other. Malgari was given a court date of Aug. 2 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.
ERICA CORBETT, 32, of 60 Carroll St., Naugatuck, was was charged Aug. 1 with disorderly conduct.
Police reported on Aug. 1 at approximately 8:10 p.m. officers responded to 16 Hard St. for a domestic disturbance between boyfriend and girlfriend. During an argument, police reported, the two parties pushed each other. Corbett was given a court date of Aug. 2 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a promise to appear.
RANDIE MURPHY, 28, of 38 Kimball Drive, New Britain, was charged Aug. 2 with failure to appear in the first degree and three counts of failure to appear in the second degree.
Police reported on Aug. 2 at approximately 6:56 a.m. Murphy turned herself in on four active arrest warrants. Murphy was given a court date of Aug. 2 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a court-set surety bond.
