Naugatuck police blotter: failure to appear

The Naugatuck Police Department reported the following arrests:

DONNA FERRARI, 42, of 163 High Ridge Road, Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 7 with failure to appear in the second degree.

Police reported on Aug. 7 at 1:44 a.m. Ferrari was called in as a suspicious person on Spring Street. At that time, police reported, it was found that there was an active warrant for Ferrari. She was held on a $2,500 bond.

GEORGE VASSALLO, 21, of 52 Walnut St., Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 7 with two counts of violation of probation.

Police reported on Aug. 7 at 6:41 a.m. Vassallo turned himself in on two active warrants. He was held on a total court-set $50,000 bond.

ERIC SANTOS, 22, of 75 Sunburst Road, Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 8 with larceny in the third degree, criminal mischief in the second degree, and burglary in the third degree.

Police reported on Aug. 8 at approximately 12:34 p.m. Santos was arrested at 75 Sunburst Road on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a stolen dirt bike complaint on May 21, 2012. Police reported Santos stole a 2009 Honda 150f dirt bike from the victim’s garage. The dirt bike was valued at $3,399. When the dirt bike was recovered it was missing the front fender and side number plates, police reported.

Santos was given a court date of Aug. 22 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a court-set $4,000 surety bond.

LINDA RACAN, 50, of 41 Anderson St., Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 8 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Aug. 8 at approximately 10:20 a.m. Racan was arrested at 41 Anderson St. 2nd floor on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a domestic disturbance reported on July 27, 2012 between former boyfriend and girlfriend. During an argument, police reported, Racan broke glasses and threw a TV onto the floor. Racan was given a court date of Aug. 9 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a promise to appear.

ADAM MASTRONUNZIO, 20, of 101 Ridge Road, Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 8 with burglary in the third degree and larceny in the sixth degree.

ALFRED GUGGINO, 34, of 151 Andrew Ave., Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 9 with driving under the influence.

Police reported on Aug. 9 at approximately 1:07 a.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on Old Firehouse Road. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Guggino was operating under the influence of alcohol. Guggino was given a court date of Aug. 23 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.
