Naugatuck police blotter: identity theft
The Naugatuck Police Department reported the following arrests:
HENRIETTA HAMLET, 53, of 528 Winthrop Ave., New Haven, was charged with identity theft in the third degree.

KYLE DOJNIA, 21, of 32 Wilson St., Naugatuck, was charged May 11 with simple trespass and criminal attempt at larceny in the sixth degree.
Police reported on May 11 at 6:42 p.m. Dojnia was arrested at 32 Wilson St. on an active arrest warrant. Dojnia entered the victim’s shed and attempted to steal bins of copper, police reported. Dojnia was given a court date of May 23 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court. and released on a $500 cash bond.
ROHAN POWELL, 41, of 145 Holly St., Waterbury, was charged May 11 with failure to appear in the first degree.
Police reported on May 11 at approximately 12:35 p.m. Powell turned himself in on an active arrest warrant. Powell was given a court date of May 14 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $25,000 surety bond.
CARLOS DESOUSA, 29, of 41 Cliff St., Naugatuck, was charged May 11 with failure to appear in the second degree.
Police reported on May 11 at approximately 2:16 p.m. Desousa was arrested at 41 Cliff St. on an active arrest warrant. Desousa was given a court date of May 23 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $195 court-set cash bond.
SEAN LYONS, 23, of 31 Woodlawn Ave., Naugatuck, was charged May 12 with driving under the influence.
Police reported on May 12 at approximately 12:17 a.m. an officer responded to the area of Hillside School for a noise complaint. The officer observed Lyons sitting in a vehicle with loud music. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Lyons was operating under the influence of alcohol. Lyons
was given a court date of May 24 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 non-surety bond.
JESSICA BOWLEY, 20, of 100 Butternut Lane, Bristol, was charged May 12 with breach of peace.
Police reported on May 12 at approximately 12:13 a.m. officers responded to 933 Rubber Ave. for a domestic disturbance between sisters. After an argument, police reported, Bowley broke a window in the home. Bowley was given a court date of May 14 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.
TAMMY WALKER, 46, of 933 Rubber Ave., Naugatuck, was charged May 12 with disorderly conduct and assault in the third degree.
Police reported on May 12 at approximately 2:22 a.m. officers responded to 933 Rubber Ave. 1A for a domestic disturbance between boyfriend and girlfriend. During an argument, police reported, Walker struck her boyfriend with a coffee pot causing a laceration on his head. Walker was given a court date of May 14 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a promise to appear.
RICHARD ANCEFSKY, 46, of 933 Rubber Ave., Naugatuck, was charged May 12 with disorderly conduct.
Police reported on May 12 at approximately 2:22 a.m. officers responded to 933 Rubber Ave. 1A for a domestic disturbance between boyfriend and girlfriend. During an argument, police reported, Ancefsky threw milk on the floor and smashed a plate against a wall. Ancefsky was given a court date of May 14 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $5,000 non-surety bond.
MICHAEL DESROSIER, 33, of 56 Parmaley Hill Road, Newtown, was charged May 12 with driving under the influence.
Police reported on May 12 at approximately 2:57 a.m. tan officer responded to Cherry Street Ext. for a suspicious vehicle. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Desrosier was operating under the influence of alcohol. Desrosier was given a court date of May 24 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.
MELISSA BRANGACCIO, 35, of 17 Tolles Square, Naugatuck, was charged May 12 with failure to appear in the second degree.
Police reported on May 12 at approximately 1:45 p.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on Calvin Street. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Brangaccio was wanted on an active arrest warrant. Brangaccio was given a court date of May 14 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a court-set $495 cash bond.
GINO STENELLI, 38, of 151 School St., Naugatuck, was charged May 12 with breach of peace.
Police reported on May 12 at approximately 7:20 p.m. an officer was dispatched to School Street for a neighbor dispute. During an argument with his neighbor, police reported, Stenelli attempted to instigate a fight with him. Stenelli was given a court date of May 14 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $1,500 surety bond.
RUSSELL JAFFER, 31, of 479 Chestnut Tree Hill Road, Oxford, was charged May 13 with driving under the influence, failure to keep right, operation of motor vehicle when registration or license is refused, suspended or revoked.
Police reported on May 13 at approximately 2:03 a.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on Rubber Avenue Ext. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Jaffer was operating under the influence of alcohol. Jaffer was given a court date of May 24 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $5,000 surety bond.
JOSEPH JANNETTY, 28, of 461 Spring St., Naugatuck, was charged May 13 with disorderly conduct and interfering with an emergency call.
Police reported on May 13 at approximately 7:58 p.m. Jannetty was being held by state police on an active arrest warrant out of Naugatuck. Jannetty was transported to Naugatuck for processing. The warrant was for a domestic disturbance between boyfriend and girlfriend reported on March 18, 2012. During an argument, police reported, the victim attempted to call the police. Jannetty took the victim’s phone from her to prevent her from contacting the police. He was given a court date of May 14 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $1,000 surety bond.
