Naugatuck police blotter: possession of controlled substance
The Naugatuck Police Department reported the following arrests:
CHASLENE JUDSON, 30, of 100 Grove St., Meriden, was charged April 27 with possession of controlled substance, use of drug paraphernalia, and nonstudent in possession of drugs near school, high school or day care.
Police reported on April 27 at approximately 8:05 a.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on the Route 8 North on ramp for exit 27, which is less than 1,500 feet from Central Avenue School. During the investigation, police reported, Judson was found to be in possession of crack cocaine, heroin, and a glass pipe. Judson was given a court date of May 9 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $10,000 surety bond.
DANIEL RODRIGUEZ, 19, of 33 West Liberty St., Naugatuck, was charged April 28 with larceny in the second degree and breach of peace.
Police reported on April 28 at approximately 11:09 a.m. officers were patrolling in the area of Andrew Avenue near the intersection of Scott Street. The officers observed a vehicle block the path of the vehicle Rodriguez was driving, police reported. Rodriguez had stolen the vehicle from the victim who lives in Waterbury, police reported. The victim, with his friend, drove around Waterbury looking for his stolen car. The victim observed his car driving on Bank Street in Waterbury. He began to follow it where Rodriguez drove into Naugatuck. When the victim saw a police car he decided to block his stolen vehicle and yell for assistance, police said. Rodriguez was given a court date of April 30 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $10,000 surety bond.
ROBERT FENWICK, 39, of 39 Homestead Ave., Naugatuck, was charged April 28 with disorderly conduct.
Police reported on April 28 at approximately 2:26 p.m. officers were dispatched to 39 Homestead Ave. for a domestic disturbance between boyfriend and girlfriend. During an argument, police reported, Fenwick flipped over dining room chairs and damaged a bedroom door. Fenwick was given a court date of April 30 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $5,000 surety bond.
JAMIE SWENOR, 50, of 35 Morning Mist Road, Naugatuck, was charged April 28 with interfering with an officer and driving under the influence.
Police reported on April 28 at approximately 8:19 p.m. an officer responded to the Family Dollar parking lot on Bridge Street for intoxicated driver. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Swenor was operating under the influence of alcohol. When the officer was placing Swenor under arrest she became verbally belligerent and attempted to pull away from the officer, police reported. Swenor was given a court date of May 9 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a promise to appear.
EDWIN ORTIZ, 54, of 121 Sumac St., Waterbury, was charged April 29 with driving under the influence and failure to keep right curve.
Police reported on April 29 at approximately 12:55 a.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on Rubber Avenue. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Ortiz was operating under the influence of alcohol. Ortiz was given a court date of May 10 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.
ARMANDO SALVADOR, 32, of 244 Bradley St., Waterbury, was charged April 29 with breach of peace.
Police reported on April 29 at approximately 9:34 p.m. officers responded to 26 North Hoadley St. for domestic disturbance with former boyfriend and girlfriend. Salvador drove by the victim’s residence several times, police reported. He then stopped and rang the doorbell. The victim told him to leave and he continued to ring the doorbell and slam the screen door, police reported. Salvador was given a court date of April 30 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,500 non-surety bond.
