Naugatuck police blotter: assault
The Naugatuck Police Department reported the following arrests:
JAZMINE ALICEA, 20, of 157 Cherry St., Naugatuck, was charged, Jan. 26, with disorderly conduct, assault in the third degree, and risk of injury to a child.
Police reported, on Jan. 26 at approximately 12:35 p.m. a domestic disturbance between a juvenile and stepmother was reported by the juvenile’s grandmother. During an argument, police said, the juvenile and stepmother pushed and punched each other. Both parties had scratches on their faces, but did not want medical attention, police reported. Alicea was given a court date of Jan. 27 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,500 non-surety bond.
EMILY MCCALL, 21, of 169 Kennedy Drive, Bridgeport, was charged, Jan. 26, with larceny in the sixth degree and criminal attempt at larceny in the sixth degree.

JAMES DENNIS, 30, of 12 Woodside Ave., Trumbull, was charged, Jan. 26, with larceny in the sixth degree, larceny in the third degree, criminal attempt at larceny in the sixth degree, possession of drug paraphernalia, and operation of motor vehicle when registration or license is refused, suspended, or revoked.

DANIEL RUOCCO, 22, of 22 Allerton Road, Naugatuck, was charged, Jan. 27, with failure to obey control signal and driving under the influence.
Police reported, on Jan. 27 at approximately 1 a.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on Cherry Street. During the investigation, police said, it was determined Ruocco was operating under the influence of alcohol. Ruocco was given a court date of Feb. 9 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.
ROMY FLEMING, 47, of 179 Aetna St., Naugatuck, was charged, Jan. 27, with larceny in the sixth degree and of violation of probation.
Police reported, on Jan. 27 at approximately 1:21 p.m. Fleming stole $10.98 worth of merchandise from Rite Aide on Rubber Avenue. During the investigation it was determined Fleming was wanted on two active arrest warrants. Fleming was given court dates of Jan. 31 and Feb. 1 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on bond.
DAVID SODERBERG, 30, of 87 Coen St., Naugatuck, was charged, Jan. 28, with driving under the influence and failure to keep right.
Police reported, on Jan. 28 at approximately 12:26 a.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on Spring Street. During the investigation, police said, it was determined Soderberg was operating under the influence of alcohol. Soderberg was given a court date of Feb. 2 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.
BALTAZAR PEREZ, 39, of 711-2 Mill Plain Road, Danbury, was charged, Jan. 28, with driving under the influence and failure to drive in proper lane.
Police reported, on Jan. 28 at approximately 1:29 a.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on Church Street. During the investigation, police said, it was determined Perez was operating under the influence of alcohol. Perez was given a court date of Feb. 2 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 surety bond.
JOHN BROWN, 25, of 266 Morning Dove Road, Naugatuck, was charged, Jan. 28, with failure to keep right curve, driving under the influence, and operation of motor vehicle when registration or license is refused, suspended, or revoked.
Police reported, on JAN. 28 at approximately 3:12 a.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on Maple Hill Road. During the investigation, police said, it was determined Brown was operating under the influence of alcohol. Brown was given a court date of Feb. 2 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.
AMANDA FORD, 24, of 61 School St., Naugatuck, was charged, Jan. 28, with disorderly conduct.
Police reported, on Jan. 28 Ford turned herself in on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a domestic disturbance that occurred on Jan. 8 with her ex-boyfriend. Police said Ford arrived at the victim’s home and an argument developed. During the argument, police said, Ford threw items around the home. Ford was given a court date of Jan. 30 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,500 non-surety bond.
JOAN BURNS, 51, of 289 Cherry St., Naugatuck, was charged, Jan. 28, with assault in the third degree and disorderly conduct.
Police reported, on Jan. 28 at approximately 3:38 a.m. officers responded to 289 Cherry St. for a domestic disturbance between boyfriend and girlfriend. During an argument, police said, Burns smashed the victim’s cell phone. Burns knocked the victim, who is disabled, down to the floor and kicked and punched him, police reported. The victim sustained a laceration to the top of his head. Burns was given a court date of Jan. 30 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 surety bond.
GERMAINE THOMPSON, 29, of 94 Oakdale Ave., Waterbury, was charged, Jan. 29, with failure to obey control signal and driving under the influence.
Police reported, on Jan. 29 at approximately 1:36 a.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on Cherry Street. During the investigation, police said, it was determined Thompson was operating under the influence of alcohol. Thompson was given a court date of Feb. 9 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.
JOSEPH ELY, 23, of 20 Washington St., Naugatuck, was charged, Jan. 30, with criminal violation of a protective order and disorderly conduct.
Police reported, on Jan. 30 Ely turned himself in on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a domestic disturbance that occurred on Jan. 8 with his ex-girlfriend. During an argument with his ex-girlfriend, police said, Ely disturbed the neighbors with yelling and swearing. Also Ely was found to be in violation of a protective order. Ely was given a court date of Jan. 30 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a court-set $10,000 surety bond.
