NAUGATUCK — Mr. Salvatorico “Ricco” Manna, 81, of Naugatuck, passed away at Waterbury Hospital on Friday, Dec. 5, 2014. He was the widower of Philomena (Sylvestrine) Manna.

Ricco was born in Pozzomaggiore, Sardinia, Sassari, Italy on March 29, 1933, a son of the late Paolo and Costantina (Saccu) Manna. He emigrated from Italy in 1953 and settled in Naugatuck. He was the owner of S. Ricco Manna General Contractor for 53 years and was devoted to his work up until his illness. He was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church.

He leaves his brothers, Peter Manna of Naugatuck, Joseph Manna and his wife, Sandy, of Middlebury; nieces, Tina Lubus and her husband, Robert, of Watertown, Mary D’Occhio and her husband, Dione, of Thomaston; a nephew, Joseph Manna of Watertown; two great-nephews and a great-niece.

His funeral will be held on Monday, Dec. 8, at 9:45 a.m. from the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main St., Naugatuck to St. Francis of Assisi Church, 318 Church St., Naugatuck for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Cross Street, Naugatuck.
