WATERBURY — Nina C. Kolo, 50, of Waterbury, passed away at Waterbury Hospital on Sunday, Dec. 7, 2014.
Nina was born in Waterbury on Aug. 11, 1964, daughter of William Kolo and the late Jennie (Jezierska) Kolo. She was a lifelong Waterbury resident and was recently employed as a nurse at Glendale Health Center in Naugatuck. She was a member of the P.N.A. and a lover of animals.
Besides her father of Waterbury, she leaves her son, Michael Wimmer and his wife, Andrea, of Gilbert, Ariz.; brother, William Kolo and his wife, Karen, of Waterbury; aunt, Maria Bonito of Clinton; cousins, Chester and Christine Bonito of Clinton; companion, Willie Reyes of Waterbury.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, Dec. 11 at 11 a.m. at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, 100 East Farm St., Waterbury. Attendees are asked to meet directly at the church at 10:45 a.m. Burial will follow in Bucks Hill Cemetery, Waterbury. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main St., Naugatuck.
