NAUGATUCK — Mr. Joseph W. Kezelevich, Sr., 95, of Naugatuck, passed away at Paradigm of Prospect on Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014. He was the widower of Hedwig (Jaceniak) Kezelevich.

Mr. Kezelevich was born in Union City on April 3, 1918, son of the late Michael and Mary (Praleikas) Kezelevich. He was a longtime resident of Naugatuck and an Army veteran serving during World War II. He retired in 1980 from W.J. Megin. He was a member of the VFW and Naugatuck Veteran’s Council. He was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church.

He leaves his sons, Edward and Robert Kezelevich and their families; granddaughter, Kathy Stowe and her husband Roy of Beacon Falls; grandson, Ronald R. Kezelevich, Sr. and his family, Ronald R. Kezelevich, Jr., Marissa and Nicole all of Naugatuck; daughter-in-law, Giovanna Kezelevich of Naugatuck; great-great-grandson, Ronald R. Kezelevich III; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sons, Ronald J. Kezelevich and Joseph W. Kezelevich, Jr.

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, Feb. 15 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church, 338 North Main St., Naugatuck. Everyone is asked to meet directly at the church by 9:45 a.m. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Cross Street, Naugatuck. There are no calling hours.
