NAUGATUCK — Edwin F. Silver, 60, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 16, 2014 at Hartford Hospital. He was husband of Trishia (O’Neill) Silver.

Ed was born in Waterbury on March 21, 1953, son of the late Leon and Gladys (Harrison) Silver. He was a longtime Naugatuck resident, who worked as a truck driver for Baskin Robbins/Dean Foods for 28 years. He was a longtime member of Teamsters Local Union #677 and also Local #1035 where he served as union steward. Ed was a U.S. Army veteran and communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church.

Besides his loving wife, Ed leaves his two daughters Kiley and Shea, and his beloved granddaughter Mia. He will be joining his daughter Jordan, by whom he was predeceased. He leaves his brother Bill and wife Lois; his brother Gary; his sister LeeAnn and many nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by his brother Leon and his sister Dawn.

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, Feb. 22 at 9 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 318 Church St., Naugatuck. Please meet directly at the church at 8:45 a.m. Calling hours will be held at the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/ Fitzgerald-Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main St., Naugatuck on Friday evening from 4 to 7 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hartford Hospital Cardiac Unit or the American Cancer Society.
