SEYMOUR — Lawrence “Larry” Soisson, 71, of Seymour, entered peaceful rest Jan. 28, 2014 in Derby. He was the beloved husband of 48 years to Carol (Oglethorpe) Soisson.
Mr. Soisson was born April 6, 1942 in Connellsville, Pa., son of the late George and Catherine (Gerke) Soisson. Larry was a retired quality assurance inspector after 37 years from Branson Ultrasonic’s, Danbury. He was a communicant of St. Augustine Church. Larry was an avid golfer and formerly enjoyed playing softball. He was a fan of the Boston Red Sox, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and the UConn mens and womens basketball teams. However, his favorite sport was watching his grandson play baseball. Larry enjoyed listening to country music and was a Ford Mustang enthusiast.
Besides his wife, Larry leaves his loving family including, his son, Jeffrey S. Soisson (Kelly) of Beacon Falls; his daughter, Colleen Menis (Alfred) of North Reading, Mass.; his siblings, Kathleen Cocks (Ted) of Newport, N.C., Nancy Dye (John) of Connellsville, Pa., and William Soisson (Eleanor) of Freidens, Pa.; his grandchildren, Kyle, Parker, Jason, and Maya, and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are Sunday, Feb. 2 from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 W. Church St., Seymour. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday, Feb. 3 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Augustine Church, 35 Washington Ave., Seymour. Interment will be in St Augustine Cemetery (springtime).
