ANSONIA — Anna Lypen, 90, of Ansonia, died peacefully on Oct. 29, 2013, at the Birmingham Health Care Center, Derby. Born in Poland on July 16, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Maria Spiak Lypen.

Ms. Lypen was a lifelong member of Sts. Peter and Paul Church and worked as a mold operator for the Specialty Plastics Co. of Derby for over 25 years, until her retirement in 1988.

She is survived by her beloved brothers and sisters, Jacob and Barbara Lypen of Ansonia, Peter and Luba Lypen of Derby, and Melania Lypen of Ansonia; devoted nieces and nephews, Maria Telep and her husband, Michael of Ansonia, Mary Faass and her husband, Adam of North Haven, Michael Pawlyk of Ansonia, Peter Pawlyk of Naugatuck, Andrew Lypen and his wife, Beata of Orange and Stephen Durkot of California. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by sisters, Martha Durkot and Helena Pawlyk.

Funeral services will take place on Monday, Nov. 4, 2013 at 9 a.m. from the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Ave., Ansonia. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. in Sts. Peter and Paul Church, 105 Clifton Ave., Ansonia. Interment will follow in Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Derby. Family and friends may call on Sunday, Nov. 3, 2013, from 4 to 7 p.m., Panikhida at 6:30 p.m.
