NAUGATUCK — Mrs. Jean F. (DeMarco) Andolena, 89, of Naugatuck, formerly of Long Island, N.Y., peacefully passed away on Thursday, May 23, 2013 at Beacon Brook Health Center. She was the widow of Joseph Andolena, Sr. to whom she was married 61 years.
Mrs. Andolena was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. on April 21, 1924, a daughter of the late Frank and Antoinette (Alagna) DeMarco. She was a longtime Long Island resident before living in Naugatuck for the past three years. She was an excellent cook and seamstress. She will be missed by her family and friends
She leaves her son, Jerry Andolena and his wife Maureen of Naugatuck; her grandchildren, Carisa of Elko, Nev., Kristen, Amanda, Joseph, and Michael all of Naugatuck; her great-grandchildren, Kylah, Adrian, Zakary, and Logan all of Elko, Nev., and her very special great-granddaughter, Ava Rose of Naugatuck. She was predeceased by her son, Joseph Andolena, Jr.
Her calling hours will be held on Tuesday, May 28 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main St., Naugatuck. Private burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Center Moriches, N.Y.
