NAUGATUCK — Mrs. Emma (Gohring) Strolin, 104, of Naugatuck, passed away quietly Monday, Oct. 22, 2012 at Wolcott View Manor. She was the widow of Christian Strolin.
Mrs. Strolin was born in Germany on April 9, 1908. She was retired after having worked as a seamstress for many years and was a member of the Salem Lutheran Church in Bridgeport. She enjoyed spending time with her family and was an avid card and bingo player while she lived at Robert E. Hutt Congregate Housing in Naugatuck.
Mrs. Strolin is survived by a daughter, Gertrude Stacoffe and her husband Robert of Ohio; three grandchildren, Christine Martin and her husband Jeff of Ohio, Sharyn Stacoffe of Massachusetts, formerly of Naugatuck, and David Stacoffe and his wife Jody of Maryland, and four great grandchildren.
Graveside services and burial will be held on Monday, Oct. 29, 2012 at 10 a.m. at Lakeview Cemetery, 885 Boston Ave., Bridgeport. There are no calling hours. The Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home 82 Fairview Ave. Naugatuck is in charge of arrangements.
