Obituary: Muriel Person Frank

NAUGATUCK — Muriel Person Frank, 87, of Naugatuck, entered into rest on Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012 at her home.

She was born in Newtown on Feb. 6, 1925, daughter of the late Oscar and Anna Person. Muriel was a member of the Seymour Congregational Church and was an avid homemaker. Muriel was a longtime member of the Seymour Grange, enjoyed NASCAR racing, especially the Daytona 500. She loved to knit and crochet.

Muriel will be sadly missed by her family and many friends. Her loving family includes her two devoted daughters, Jill Wirtemburg and her husband John of Naugatuck and Virginia Weisenbacher and her husband Louis of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; her loving brothers, Raymond Person and his wife Judy of Newtown and Eric Person of Fairfield,; her daughter-in-law, Diane Frank of St. Petersburg, FLA.; her former husband, Jack E. Frank of Parker, Colo.; her five cherished grandchildren, Louis Weisenbacher, IV, Ashley and Mathew Frank, Joshua and Noah Wood; her cherished great-grandson, Alex Weisenbacher and several loving nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her dear sons, Glenn and Wayne Frank and her beloved brother, Roland Person.

A funeral service in celebration of Muriel’s life will be held on Friday, March 2, 2012 at 7 p.m. in the Chapel of the Miller-Ward Funeral Home, 260 Bank St. (Route 67, across from Klarides Village) Seymour with the Rev. Greg Dawson, Pastor of the Seymour Congregational Church, officiating. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. Friends and relatives my call at the funeral home on Friday night from 5 p.m. until the start of the service.
