Jean S. (Henderson) Perin

NAUGATUCK — Mrs. Jean S. (Henderson) Perin, 82 of Naugatuck, passed away late Tuesday afternoon Nov. 8, at the Waterbury Hospital. She was the widow of Ermino S. Perin, who passed away in 2008 after 58 years of marriage.

Mrs. Perin was born in Niagara Falls, N.Y. Jan. 31, 1929, a daughter of the late Spencer and MayBelle (MacMillan) Henderson and moved to Cowansville, Quebec, Canada in 1936. Following graduation she moved to Montreal and attended business college. She was employed by Montreal Tramways, moving back the U.S. and married in 1950. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Naugatuck and at one time had been an active volunteer at the Thrift Shop at the church.

She leaves three daughters, Linda Goodrich of Mott, N.D., Jennifer Day of Naugatuck, and Nancy Parent of Prospect; four grandchildren, Jason Parent, Charles Parent, Michael Day and David Goodrich; four great-grandchildren, Kevin Day, Derrick Day, Dakota Goodrich, and Adrienne Parent; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a sister, Mary McClure.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 15, at 11 a.m. at the United Methodist Church of Naugatuck, 214 Meadow St. Burial will follow in Middlebury Cemetery, Cemetery Road, Middlebury. Friends may call at the Alderson Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow St. on Sunday, Nov. 13, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the United Methodist Church of Naugatuck, 214 Meadow St.
