NAUGATUCK — Esther E. Haywood, 92, passed away Nov. 6, at Beacon Brook Health Care Center. She was the wife of the late Daniel L. Haywood.
Mrs. Haywood was born May 3, 1919 in Waterbury the daughter of the late John B. and Clara M. (Anderson) Ericson. She was a resident of Clearwater, Fla. before returning to Naugatuck in 2000. She was a member of the Waterbury Women’s Club and a member of the order of the Eastern Star. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Waterbury.
Mrs. Haywood is survived by her daughter, Carol Dickens of Otis, Mass.; her step-children, William P. Haywood and his wife Frances and their children of Naugatuck and Daniel H. Haywood and his wife Barbara as well as many friends.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 16, at 10 a.m. at the Zion Lutheran Church, 1555 Hamilton Ave., Waterbury. Burial will follow in Old Pine Grove Cemetery. The Alderson Funeral Home of Naugatuck is assisting with arrangements.
