NAUGATUCK — Mrs. Maria Regina (Chipelo) Pinho, 82, died Monday, Oct. 10, at Waterbury Hospital after a long illness. She was the widow of Jose F. Pinho.
Mrs. Pinho was born in Monte Murtosa, Portugal on Oct. 10, 1929 a daughter of the late Augusto and Ana (Iria) Chipelo. She was retired from the Uniroyal Inc. Footwear Division in Naugatuck. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Naugatuck Portuguese Club and a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Naugatuck.
Mrs. Pinho is survived by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by nine brothers and sisters from Connecticut, New Jersey, and Portugal.
The funeral will be held on Saturday, Oct. 15, at 9:15 a.m. from the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave., Naugatuck to St. Vincent Ferrer Church, 1006 New Haven Road, Naugatuck for a mass at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery in Naugatuck. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, Oct.14, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
