MIDDLEBURY — Joseph P. Kenishea, 54, of Middlebury, died Saturday, Oct. 22, in Waterbury Hospital.

Mr. Kenishea was born April 15, 1957, in Waterbury, son of the late Joseph and Miriam (Williams) Kenishea. He grew up in Naugatuck, graduating from Naugatuck High School in 1975, and had served in the Army National Guard of Connecticut. Also known as “UPS Joe,” he was a driver for UPS for 36 years in the Middlebury and Southbury area. He was an avid motorcyclist, a car enthusiast and a devoted father.

He leaves his son, Christopher J, Kenishea of Middlebury; his sisters Gloria DelPrincipe of Naugatuck, Alice Kenishea Boucher of Florida, and Lisa Biltz Freeman of Naugatuck, and his former wife, Suzanne T. Kenishea of Woodbury.

Calling hours are Thursday, Oct. 27, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Carpino Funeral Home, 750 Main St. South, Southbury.
