Ann C. (Bohan) Bookless

MIDDLEBURY — Ann C. (Bohan) Bookless, 79, passed away on Sunday, June 26, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Jack Bookless.

 

Mrs. Bookless was born on Feb. 13, 1932 in New York, N.Y. She was retired from the Borough of Naugatuck where she worked as a clerk for many years. She was a passed member of the Elks.

Besides her husband of Middlebury she was survived by Ann Birch and her husband William of Naugatuck; two sons, James Bookless and his wife Sheila of Greenville, S.C., John Bookless and his wife Maritza of Naugatuck. She is also survived by four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.

She was predeceased by one son, Joseph Bookless and two brothers, Henry “Hank” and Neal Bohan.

A memorial mass will be held on Thursday, June 30, at 10 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 318 Church St., Naugatuck. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours and the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave, Naugatuck is in charge of the arrangements.
