Obituary: Casimir F. Skowronski

NAUGATUCK- Mr. Casimir F. Skowronski, 95, passed away Friday Feb. 11 at his home. He was husband of the late Frances (Mulevich) Skowronski.

Mr. Skowronski was born in Beacon Falls on Aug. 11, 1915, son of the late Wladislaw and Wladislawa (Cieslewski) Skowronski. He was a lifelong resident of Naugatuck, and he retired from AG Food Co. in Waterville after many years of service. He was veteran of the United States Army and served his country during WWII. He was a recipient of the Bronze Star. Mr. Skowronski was a communicant of St. Hedwig’s Church.

He is survived by a son, Eugene E. Skoronski of Naugatuck; two daughters, Judith Harlow of Waterbury, and Susan D’Angelo of Southington; two grandsons, Nicholas and Michael D’Angelo; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Edmund Skowronski, and a sister, Pauline Tuttle.

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday Feb. 14, at 10 a.m. at St. Hedwig Church. Burial with military honors will follow in St. James Cemetery, Cross Street, Naugatuck. There are no calling hours.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Hedwig Church, 32 Golden Hill Street, Naugatuck. The Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main St., Naugatuck is assisting in the services.
