Obituary: Margaret E. “Marge” Sheridan

NAUGATUCK- Mrs. Margaret E. “Marge” Sheridan, 94, formerly of Naugatuck, passed away Wednesday Jan.26, at the Middlebury Convalescent Hospital. She was the widow of S. Dayton Sheridan who passed away in 2001, after 59 years of marriage.

Marge was born in Waterbury, Sept. 17, 1917, a daughter of the late George H. and Eugenia (Parker) Sheridan and was a lifelong Naugatuck resident. She was educated in the local schools and was a graduate of Naugatuck High School. She was a communicant of St. Michael’s Episcopal Church and was active on many of the committees in the Parish. She had taught Sunday school for over 40 years. She was also active for many years as a Girl Scout leader.

She leaves a daughter, Elizabeth Sheridan-Regan of Naugatuck; two sisters, Doris Wood of Waterbury and Alice McDonald of Phoenix, Ariz.; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, William Sheridan; a brother, George Solberg; and a sister, Evelyn Peterson.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at St. Michael’s Episcopal Church. There are no calling hours.
