LITTLE ROCK, S.C. — Lester Edward Bolton, 78, died Tuesday, June 27, 2017, surrounded by his family at his home.
Funeral services will be held Monday, July 3, 2017 at 9 a.m. at Kannaday Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jeff Black officiating. A Committal Service will follow at the Florence National Cemetery at 11 a.m. Visitation will be held Sunday, July 2, 2017 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Kannaday Funeral Home in Dillon, S.C.
Mr. Bolton was born in Kitts, Ky. on Jan. 8, 1939, the son of the late Dana and Edna Wright Bolton. Lester retired from Pratt-Whitney as a mechanist. He joined and faithfully served under the 82nd Airborne Division in the United States Army. Mr. Bolton was a member of the Aircraft Engines, American Legion, and was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Chavis Bolton; Danny Bolton, Robbie Lynn Bolton and Bobby Lee Bolton; daughter, Nancy Ann Bolton Buckmiller (Wayne); brother, Kenneth Bolton (Carol); sister, Evelyn Summa (Jerry); ten grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Mr. Bolton was predeceased by his son, Donald Ray Bolton.
