PROSPECT — The Planning and Zoning Commission has given the green light for a new commercial building on Union City Road.
The commission last month approved a special permit for Prospect-based Kollcinaku LLC to construct a nearly 8,000-square-foot, two-story building at 26 Union City Road. Under the town’s regulations, any proposed professional office building over 2,500 square feet requires a special permit.
According to plans filed in the land use office, the building will house commercial and retail entities. The building would be set on the front portion of the approximately 1.5-acre lot and there will be 36 parking spaces, according to the plans.
Kollcinaku also owns the adjacent commercial building at 22 Union City Road, which houses several businesses, including Pizzeria Napolitano and Lo Cascio Liquors.
