Samuel Rosiello Jr.

NAUGATUCK — Samuel Rosiello, Jr., 69, died peacefully on May 15, 2017 at Waterbury Hospital.

Sam was born June 30, 1947 in Bridgeport, a son of the late Samuel and Pauline (Giammattei) Rosiello, Sr., and had lived in Naugatuck for 20 years having also lived in Waterbury and Fairfield. Sam enjoyed his family and he loved to eat and take trips to the casino. He loved his job as a pizza chef, having worked in Waterbury at both Bacco’s and Mario’s Restaurants.

Sam is survived by his daughter, Heather Rosevear and her husband, Michael; his grandchildren, Andrew Davis and Madisyn Rosevear; his son, Thomas Rosiello; his sister, Rita Greninger and her husband, Dale; his nephew, Timothy Greninger; and his niece, Carrie Winchester. In addition to his parents, Sam was predeceased by his great-niece, Trinity Winchester.

Calling hours are Wednesday, May 17, 2017 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave., Naugatuck. Burial will be private. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held Wednesday, immediately following calling hours at the Polish American Club, 199 Bridge St., Naugatuck.
