NAUGATUCK — Maureen R. (Cuddy) Wojtczak, 60, beloved wife of Barry F. Wojtczak, passed away on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at Vibra Hospital in Springfield, Mass.
She was born in Waterbury on Oct. 18, 1956, daughter of Raymond Cuddy of Waterbury and the late Alannah (Nardello) Cuddy. A longtime resident of Naugatuck, Maureen graduated from Naugatuck High School, the University of Connecticut and St. Joseph’s College, where she received her Master’s Degree in nutrition. She served her internship at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota. She had worked as a registered dietitian for the State of Connecticut for many years, until her retirement. Maureen was a collector of coins, Country Rose tea sets, Kennedy memorabilia and she was an avid Beach Boys fan.
Besides her husband, Barry, and her father, she leaves her brothers, Bruce Cuddy, of San Diego, Calif. and John Cuddy, of Virginia; and her nephew, Justin Cuddy, of Michigan. Maureen was predeceased by her sister, Diane Cuddy.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, May 25, 2017 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald-Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main St., Naugatuck. A memorial service will begin at 7 p.m.
