Janet E. Marino passed quietly surrounded by love on March 15, 2017 in Portland, Maine. She fought a fearless battle with cancer.
Janet was born May 5, 1936 to Fredrick H. Hermonat and Mildred E.(Martinkat) Hermonat. She resided most of her life between Naugatuck and Vasselboro, Maine, and retired to Maine permanently in 2007.
Janet was a communicant member of St Paul’s Lutheran Church where she also served the Dorcas Guild and choir.
Janet was employed by Uniroyal, Middlebury and retired after 33 years of service to the firm. Janet holds a place on several patents held by the company.
In retirement, Janet enjoyed knitting warm winter hats, crosswords, and being with family at her lake house in Maine.
Janet leaves sisters, Lois Stone of Sun City, Fla., and Phyllis Fox of Crossville, Tenn. Children, Beth and Sharon of Limestone, Tenn., Kathy of Greene, Maine, Barry and Bill of Waterbury, Conn., and Lisa of Limington, Maine, where Janet resided. Grandchildren, Sarah and Brad of Colorado, Jennifer of Maine, and Samuel of Maine. Janet was predeceased by her parents.
She has left a void in our lives but she is now her perfect self in heaven.
