Beacon Hose reports January calls

BEACON FALLS — Beacon Hose Company No. 1 responded to 56 emergency medical calls and 25 fire calls in January, the company reported.

The company conducted training in bloodborne/airborne pathogens, hazardous materials, and self-contained breathing apparatus. The Junior Corps trained in ice rescue. The company also met with officials from the Region 16 school district, which oversees schools in Beacon Falls and Prospect, to establish radio communications with Laurel Ledge School and Woodland Regional High School in Beacon Falls.
