NAUGATUCK — Elenore L. Marroni, of Naugatuck, passed away at St. Mary’s Hospital Vitas on Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2017. She was 78 years old. Elenore was born in Naugatuck on March 8, 1938. She was the daughter of the late Robert James Irving and Jean (Hedrick) Irving.
She started working at the age of 17 and worked as a legal secretary for attorney Henry Marlor for 40 years. She also worked as a nanny and a caregiver for many years.
Elenore is survived by her son, Peter Marroni and his loving partner, Marianne Tirico, of Massachusetts; her daughter, Martha Marroni; her granddaughter Maya Marroni; and her sister, Jannette Irving. She will be missed greatly by her loving family.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, Jan. 21 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church, 338 North Main St., Naugatuck, followed by a burial in St. James Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to meet directly at the church. The Naugatuck Vallry Memorial/Fitzgerald Zembruski Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
