NAUGATUCK — Diane Ryan, 56, the wife of Robert T. Ryan, died peacefully at her home on Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2017.
Diane was born in Waterbury on Aug. 29, 1960, a daughter of the late Peter R. and Elizabeth (Chism) Alanskas, and had lived in Naugatuck for most of her life. Diane was a loving wife, daughter, mother, and sister. She loved her pets, and she enjoyed cooking and swimming. Diane liked to travel, especially to Cape May, N.J. and Newport, R.I., and she will be missed for her smile and her love of life.
In addition to her husband Rob, Diane is survived by her son, Angus MacDonald and his wife, Kelly; her brother, Richard Alanskas; her sister, Petrice Alanskas and her companion, Jim Vodges, and several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held Friday, Jan. 6, 2017 at 7 p.m. at the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave., Naugatuck. Calling hours are Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
