NAUGATUCK — The Naugatuck Ecumenical Food Bank is hopeful that a new twist on a classic will help keep its shelves stocked.

The food bank is sponsoring its “12 Days of Christmas Giving.” Beginning on Monday, the food bank is asking people to add a non-perishable food donation to a bag or box each day for 12 days through Jan. 6. Suggested items that are needed include cereal, pasta, pasta sauce, peanut butter, jelly, canned soup, fruit and vegetables.

The donations can be brought to the food bank, 75 Spring St., from 12 to 3 p.m. on Jan. 8. A snow date for dropping off donations is scheduled for Jan. 15. For more information, call the food bank at 203-723-1922.
