SEYMOUR — Anthony Carloni, 96, of Seymour, husband of the late Clara Politi Carloni entered into eternal rest peacefully on Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2016 at Shady Knoll Health Center in Seymour. He was born in Derby on Jan. 17, 1920, son of the late Dominick and Palma Carloni.

For 47 years, Anthony was a factory worker for the Anaconda American Brass Company and a lifelong resident of Seymour. He loved nature and being outdoors, especially the time he spent in his garden. Anthony was also an avid hunter and exceptional trapper in the late 1930s up until he enlisted into the army during WWII. He also raised prize beagles.

His family includes his daughters, Blanche Krasnicki and her husband, Frank, of Beacon Falls, Donna Orzech and her husband, Bill, of Seymour, and Cynthia Carloni of Southbury; two grandchildren, David Krasnicki and his wife, Tammy, of Southbury, and Susan Nappi and her husband, Brandon, of Middlebury, and his three great-grandchildren, Sophia Nappi, Elle Nappi and Hunter Krasnicki, many great- and great-great nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, Oct. 24, 2016 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the Miller-Ward Funeral Home, 260 Bank St., (Route 67, across from Klarides Village), Seymour. Interment will follow at Mt. St. Peter Cemetery, Derby. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home on Monday morning from 9 until 11 a.m.
