Region 16 parents invited to discussions

REGION 16 — Region 16 Superintendent of Schools Michael Yamin is hosting two breakfasts this month for parents.

Parents of students in the region, which oversees schools in Beacon Falls and Prospect, are invited to attend to discuss any concerns they may have in the region. The first breakfast is Sept. 15 at Laurel Ledge Elementary School. The second breakfast is Sept. 20 at the district office in Prospect. Both breakfasts start at 8 a.m.

The breakfasts precede the first Parent Advisory Committee meeting of the school year. The committee was formed last year to provide an opportunity for the presidents of the PTO board of each school and parents to have a direct voice with the region’s administration. The committee will meet Sept. 28 at 5:45 p.m. at Prospect Elementary School.
