Patricia Collins Nichols, 54, of Chuburna Puerto, Mexico passed away unexpectedly with her husband by her side on Aug. 28, 2016.
Pattie is survived by her husband of 15 years, Cliff Nichols, and her three daughters, Kelly, Dana, and Colleen Behuniak. Pattie is also survived by her father, Richard Collins; her siblings, Kathleen Katrenya, Nancy Roach and Jeffrey Collins along with several nieces and nephews.
Pattie was predeceased by her mother, Kathleen Collins, and her infant brother, Michael.
Before her retirement to Mexico, Pattie and her husband lived in Torrington. She was a 1980 graduate of Seymour High School. Upon retiring to Mexico in 2015, Pattie quickly became a part of a tightly-knit group of ex-pats and locals. Pattie had a love of life. She enjoyed reading, entertaining and adored life on the beach. Pattie loved her family and friends, “Her People,” and nothing made her happier than spending time with them. She was most proud of her three daughters and often referred to them as her “greatest accomplishment.”
She was fiercely loyal to those she loved and will be greatly missed.
Family and friends may call on Saturday, Sept. 3, 2016 from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. at the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main St., Naugatuck, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1 p.m. at the Church of the Good Shepard, 135 Mountain Road, Seymour.
