NAUGATUCK — Marcella (McElhatten) (McCurry) DePoala, 80, wife of Philip DePoala, passed away on Friday, Sept. 2, 2016 at Shady Knoll Health Care in Seymour.

Mrs. DePoala was born in Elizabeth, Pa., on Sept. 26, 1935, daughter of the late James and Marguerite (Fox) McElhatten. A longtime resident of Naugatuck, she retired from D’Addario Industries after 15 years of service. Marcie was a faithful parishioner of St. Vincent Ferrer Church and was a member of the church choir.

Besides her husband Philip, she leaves her sons, Kevin McCurrey and Daniel McCurrey; her daughter, Michele Strain, all of Naugatuck; her sister, Anna Campell; her brother, James McElhatten; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Michael McCurry; and her sisters, Regina, Mary and Magarite.

Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. from the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald-Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main St., Naugatuck, to St. Vincent Ferrer Church, 1006 New Haven Road, Naugatuck, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
