NAUGATUCK — Mr. David Scott Hay, 57, of Naugatuck, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, Sept. 12, 2016. He was the husband for 26 years of Judith M. (Rogers) Hay.

Mr. Hay was born in Waterbury on March 14, 1959, a son of the late John and Lorraine (Ackerman) Hay. He worked for 17 years as a supervisor at Events by Superior. He enjoyed fishing and doing mechanical work.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Hay is survived by two sisters, Cathy Davis of Naugatuck and Sharon Hurlbut and her husband, Stephen, of Naugatuck; a brother, Steven Hay and his wife, Toni, of Virginia; a sister-in-law, Lydia Dixon of Louisiana; five stepsons, Fred Bivens of Waterbury, Lance Bivens of Naugatuck, Eric Bivens of Naugatuck, Brant Bivens of Naugatuck and Shawn Bivens of Oakville, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a stepson, Brian Bivens.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, Sept. 16, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the Prospect Memorial Funeral Home, 72 Waterbury Road, Prospect. Burial will be in Grove Cemetery in Naugatuck. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service.
